  • Beautiful fish, I just got two oscar cichlids in a 125 gal, any suggestions about tankmates or just information in general? They are both really shy and just hide behind the filter or decor...thanks

    mike

  • @CichlidMOfo i find that fire eels, Jack demseys, convicts, plecos go great with oscars, i really really like fire eels with them cause they eat the same stuff and stay out of each others way, i do suggest getting something the same size as your oscar or it will be a late lunch for them, and make sure the oscars are full when introducing the new fish. But 125 gallon is really only big enough for 2 oscars, unless u have a hugh filter, and do weekly water changes.

  • @Fx4Ranger2002 convict cichlids

  • MY OSCAR LOOKS JUST LIKE YOURS!

  • I am getting a 55 gallon in a few months and I might get an oscar or two to put in it, what are some good tankmates to go with an oscar?

  • Nice setup :)

  • Finally a video that shows how big a 55 is

  • Fluvall is #1 right now and come with a lifetime warranty

  • what filtration system you use please tell me i have a 55 gallon also don't know what filtration system to use

  • I just got an albino Oscar a tiger Oscar and a pleco they are all like 1 inch. They are in a 10 gallon aquarium right now I can't wait to watch them get that large

  • nooo theres not for 2 you need a minimum of 75 gallons

  • @bwfootball30 If you get the right filter system and take care of your oscar they should live fine in a 55 gallon tank I know someone that has had 3 in one for like 13 years and there still doing good.

  • thres room for another oscar

  • can i keep one oscar by it self in a 30 g long?

  • im really tired of everyone talking about tanks being to small. most people agree 55 is ok for one oscar, not 72 or 75 or whatever you say. if someone has one in a 10 gallon aquarium then sure go troll there but otherwise fuck off.

  • 55gal is too small.should be at least 72.

  • i wanted to get an oscar in a 55 gal and i wanted to know can i get a tinfoil barb or silver dollars in there? if so how many?

  • nice tank check out mines man

  • hey i was wondering is a 45 gallon big enpugh for just one oscar?

  • @connieriley sorry a 55 gal is the minimum. if u get lower i have to admit, ure oscar wont live the longest nor best life.

  • @connieriley No

  • i accidently found out that oscars are carnivrous. by getting 20 tigre barbs to brighten up our tank and give it some more life. our 2 oscars had the lot in a matter of hours

  • what kind of bubble stones are you using and where did you get them? I bought some and they stopped working in a week! I only get one stream of tiny bubbles now. Thanks.

  • i have an albino oscar cichlid at a small age and would a 10 gallon tank be safishent enough for it at this size

  • @SuppaFunkyMan probably for 1 month

  • can i put a baby 2cm oscar in a 51 gallon with a few other fish? see my vid of my new 51 gallon tank

  • That's a huge tank. xD Oscar is very pretty!

  • i have a baby oscar in a 20 gallon (i kno its small) for a month and now in a 55have 2 cat fish (up side down, and spotted rafael) 2 plecos one my friend and a clown loach they all seem fine but i was wondering should i crush the head of the meal worm so they dont eat its way out of the body?

  • @tebroski the oscar will chew the worm so its fine to feed them whole.

  • My oscar didnt care for the worms, he would eat them then spit them out.

    @Bigman7644

  • @Bigman7644 could that oscar that size eat a 5 inch african cichlids

  • @tebroski the mealworm would drown it is to stupid to try to get out

  • @xxvolcomkidxx13 lol, yeah. that was my buddy commenting. . .he's an idiot. xD

  • would you reccomend feeding hikari cichlid gold small pellets 2 my 3 inch oscars??

  • @africancichlidman yes thats good to feed them

  • @Bigman7644 How long does it take an Oscar to reach full size?

  • @africancichlidman ya the mini's are the best for him and u can progress up as he gets bigger by now he should be eating the large being u posted this 9 months ago

  • Dude thats a nice Oscar.

I love how they know when there getting food..

  • 55 gallon*

  • could i keep an oscar and a clown loach in the same tank?

  • will an oscar dig up live plants?

  • Yes they will so dont buy them.

  • I have a 55 gallon aquarium....how many oscars can I put in there?

  • @thehobbyguys One

  • I got a 80 Gallon tank how many oscars can i put in it?

  • @KingOptimus123 Maybe two but with oscars either have one fish or six or more in one tank or else they will fight all day

  • okay thanks so i have 2 oscars and more fish?

  • Does he ever uncover or uproot plants and decor like the plastic diver?

    Nice oscar BTW!

  • Nice Oscar... mine doesnt eat any pellets, i need to discipline him LOL.

  • the way to get an oscar to eat pellets is to starve him. only a couple days to a week. then he will take pellets. also always vary an oscars diet. feed pellets, freeze dried food, frozen foods, veggies, live food (crickets, worms, moths, NOT live fish) beef hearts.

  • NOT live fish? why not? they carry diseases and too fatty?

  • ya. exactly. they are not nutricious and can carry diseases.

  • Seriously! they will eat tuna and salmon?

  • he will eat anything you throw in there even human flesh.

  • are you serious? or is that a joke?

  • @HexaFox Thanks. Im glad i can give my oscars more than enough.

    @Anybody on youtube.

This morning i realized one of my oscar had a square cut on his head. its not bleeding or i cant see any flesh.

Im pretty sure its not HITH( hole in the head)

They both are the 2 dominant Fish in the tank the rest are smaller then them . could it be a injury? or attacked by my 6 inch chinese gold algae eater?

My oscars about 6 inch's aswell

    PEACE

  • you should get another oscar to keeep him company

  • I have 2 Oscars in a 55 gallon tank they are only about 5 inch.

And i already bought a 100 Gallon tank which is just sitting outside of my room waiting to be used.

Is 100 Gallon enough for just 2 oscars?

And their diet is: Superworms,Bloodworms,Hikari Tablets,Miniture Shredded Carrots and Lettece, Little Colored balls For koi fish. and i feed them 2 or 4 Red Tetras Every 4 weeks.

Is that Healthy or do they need more meat?

  • I don't know alot about fish but you figure a 55 gallon would be plenty for 2 oscars. They are only spose to grow to 14" max, i heard than some species can get bigger. The 100 Gallon should be way more than enough. Sorry Bearded Dragon expert not Oscar just telling ye what i think.

  • A good size tank for 2 oscars is 125+ Gallons

  • nice tank simple and effective i like it

  • nice clean tank, and healthy fish

  • why would you say that? what's wrong with his tank. Just wondering because I have Oscar too :)

  • You have no idea what the hell your talking about, this oscar is very healthy and has a pretty good diet. Get your facts, then start talking about fish "Nigga"

  • @TheReALIDoTT...WIN. lol

  • Lovin' the Oscar. I've got one with similar colors named King Midas. Badass fish. In my 100g tank, there are two oscars, a green terror, jack demsey, blue zebra, parrot fish, red emporess and some convicts. haha probably the worst combination of fish in one tank. When my oscars get the size of yours, there's gonna be problems lol.

  • my oscar like like that i named him eater

  • how long have you had the Aqua Tech's? Just got one a month ago for 40 gallon. I use it with a Aqua Clear 20. We have 3 sub adult rbp's...eventually want at least 55 gallon, and was gonna put another Aqua Tech 30-60 on it...Good filtration?

  • two aqua techs should be enough with regular water changes. I also added to my filters some extra bio balls to help my filters efficiency.

  • That is the best fish tank I ever seen and that oscar is a prime specimen. Good job buddy and keep up the great work!!!

  • love the oscar. he is huge!. i really wan to get one of these along with a jack dempsey. maybe i will someday but untill that day. u should check out my videos of my fish. also return a sub. ok thanks buy

  • dude holy fucking filtration. i bet you could drink that water. i'm gettin an aquatech 30-60 for my 30 gal. i have 2 baby oscars.

  • thats what i have on my 30 with one baby oscar and it works amazing

  • my oscar fish looks like urs i think its the same size as mine also.....

  • COOL OSCAR

    is that

    live crickets?

    "chicken of the sea" tuna?

    salmon from the grocery store???

  • Yes

  • nice oscar.......great tank and filteration,

if you have a oscar, THIS IS THE PROPER WAY OF CARING FOR IT! TAKE NOTE'S!

    5 star's buddy :)

  • Where did u get that tank???

im getting the 55 gallon from wal mart this looks like it :P

  • major filtration dude.

one thing people screw up on is having bare minimum for theyr oscars.

    nice job!!

  • i feed my fish pellets and mainly tropical flakes but my oscar only eats the pellets, will he learn to like the flakes or wat can i do so he eats the flakes. BEAUTIFUL OSCAR MINE LOOKS LIKE THAT BUT SMALL

  • Just feed ur oscar the pellets cause they usually like crunchy foods and the pellets are nutrious. also try some mealworms or crickets once in awhile.

  • Glad to see someone got the original oscar and some hybrid like tiger or albino. 5 stars from me. :)

  • Has he ever jumped out?

  • no, but he did jump and hit the cover and broke it. Also if he gets scared at night he jumps and makes a big wave in the tank and water shoots up everywhere and I get soaked because my bed is right next to the tank.

  • LOL!!!! thats funny.

  • Nice Tank 5 Stars

  • hey i have an oscar just like dat one except mine is smaller check my vids out

  • thats gay my piranhas would eat that f***er in 3 sec they all 11 inch now bring him over and c what happens my piranhas love Oscars

  • You suck giant retarded cow ass

  • ur mom is a cows ass

  • LOL!!!!

  • how bout you fuck urself with squeezable bottle of extra hot hot sauce and shove it up ur ass, and then sqeeeeeze

  • They live longer with vegetable matter. But the Hikari Gold should have some in it. And you may not want him to live a long time any way. :)

  • Yeah your Gay!

  • such a small tank

  • How did you get your fish to have so much color, or did it look like that when you bought him!

  • Hikari Gold cichlids pellets and good water conditions got him looking healthy

  • Nice fish. Where did you get the fish from, i have a 55 gallon tank all set up but cant find a prize fish to put it in. Where should i get one from?

  • you should be able to get one at any pet store

  • I got one today, i had the manager order one for me, he said different breeders produced different fish. Today he had some better looking ones with more color, so i got one red oscar and a convict. i will post video when they are not to shy, right now they play dead whenever i come close the tank, and i got some of those gold pellets to but they don't want to eat right now. thx for all your help.
