  • Yeah!!!! Subarus can do anything!! That is why I drive one! Go Subies!!!!!!!

  • The SOHC EJ25 only produces 162hp at the crank

  • who needs a v8 wen you got 4 wheel drive.lol nice job was it all stock.

  • Comment removed

  • @jdsanchez473 200hp each wheel lol.

  • Subaru has my respect. For they build a truly working serial offroaders.

  • Very cool.

  • Um, I think he just said "thats what happens when you hook 800hp to a tree with bald tires"...

     What a dumb ass.

  • @KnoesAll well actually a 200tq engine in 1st gear is actually closer to 600tq. it's all about gear ratio

  • @VWgolfin98

Yeah yeah yeah I know how gear reduction works, and its obvious in the video, but i think you missed the point…

We're talkin about a subaru wagon here, which is not a torque or HP monster with an engine belting out 600 ft lb torque (at the crank), let alone anything close to 800 hp with slicks.

  • Question...Anyone,

    I have a 96 suburu legacy outback and a 95 outback ,plus a 99 forester...

The 96,and 95,have a place in the engine compartment were a fuse can be inserted to disengage the back wheels for towing ,can the suburu be driven in front wheel drive in the summer time by disengaging the back wheels... how come the newer suburu don't have this option...My 99 forester doesn't seem to have it......

  • @blagovoje From what I know, it sounds like you're talking about the FWD fuse. If you want Subaru technical help, I would refer you to UltimateSubaru (dot) org

They know Subarus so well, it's almost scary.

  • @blagovoje this will only be found on older automatic subarus in the location that you are speaking about. You can drive in FWD mode but there is no point. The subaru AWD system on an automatic defaults to 90/10 torque split favoring the Front. Untill wheel spin is detected, it will run %90 FWD as it is.

  • Have you seen the bungee style tow strap like they had on the Top Gear episode where Toyota pickups were driven to the North Pole? Seems like a good technology to have in these instances.

  • @soarstar It would, but then the tree would slingshot back at the car.

  • was this an automatic or manual?

  • @amorgan93 auto

  • @soencer769

You want to know how these handle in the snow? Check out my channel. I have a video of mine in the snow, its fantastic

  • how do these handle the snow? We live in a seasonal area. And were wondering.

  • @spencer769 question is, how does snow handle subaru.. :P Well with awd (all wheele drive) you can go very far.. I have a 1992 legacy.. 2.0 and it goes like crazy.. :)

  • yeah subie power.

  • Subie's are fun but i perf the older AMC eagle had a 84 and 80 killed me to get rid of them they could take one hell of a beating offroad and keep going used to jump mine for fun lol

  • Looks like fun. I wish they had more torque though, especially at lower RPM's.

  • 800 hp ??? ha ha ha

  • @amigos1996 lol XD

  • i might b getting one of these. how do u like it?? hows the milage?

  • @sixaxis171 i absolutely loved it, but the head gaskets went out on it so i sold it, it got about 23 mpg average mostly highway

  • @racerbizoehm how many miles man?

  • @Zinizzle 280000

  • @racerbizoehm it only got 23mpg highway? if so, im shocked. im a muscle guy but i thought these got better mpg then that

  • @airsoftg0d i think it has to do with the awd the new cars don't get much better

  • where was this video taken? i want to show my mum this video so my first car is a subie!

  • had to pull a mustang out of the ditch this winter with my Impreza L. Wanted a pic/vid...115hp 1.8L NA subaru pulling a 620hp 5L supercharged mustang...lolz

  • Nice car ;)

    I like it

  • Subies are the best!

  • Can't stop a Subie. With the winter of 09-10 makes me love mine more than ever. If more people knew about these cars they couldn't make enough.

  • nicely done!

...ill refrain from poking fun at all the safety gear

  • Automat or manual?

  • auto

  • what a great video, looks like you guys have a good time working together that suby rocks!

  • Did you just say 800hp? sir i think your sadly mistaken

    -ac

  • Just got a used 176k, auto. How easy are they to push in neutral by hand. Mine is barely doable. AWD friction? At the moment I'd say 15 mpg city. Engine is well enough. Normal?

  • just happens to be week after i took this video, got below zero outside now car has really bad leak so its for sale lol

  • Wife has a 97....It's a tank. I have an 01 Forester....It's also a tank. These things are awesome in the snow/mud.

  • only things thats bad with them is head gaskets

  • I have that exact same car

  • Great Video!!
