if the last line is as you have written it "Ingonyama ingwe enamabala" translates directly to 'lion leopard with spots'. Odd line that one...

Lebo M is the person who worked on all the African music used in the first Lion King movie. He does the cry at the begining of "Circle of Life"

In one of the older recordings of Circle of Life, he can clearly be heard in the background chants as well. If you listen closely to the movie version of the song, he's heard in the background during the instrumental section by lengthening one of the chants.

If you know his voice, you can also make him out during the scene when Simba's chasing Rafiki through the thicket. He's the higher-tone voice which starts the whole thing.

He's also the solo voice during the Circle of Life reprise. :D

I've been looking for this for ages! I saw this live on tv, and tears came to my eyes when I saw how those people don't just sing their music, they *feel* it... I'm the same way, and that's probably also why I love all the chorus songs from The Lion King, and I was a big crying mess throughout most of the show by the time I got to see it at the theater ... ;) Thanks so much for posting this! :)
