Very true. In 1985, at the age of 7, I started watching Hulk Hogan's Rock N Wrestling, and back then, Hogan and Roddy Piper were by far the best talkers. I've also watched Superstar Billy Graham and Dusty Rhodes segments from the 70s, and I would say all 4 of those guys rank among the best talkers, along with Randy Savage, Ric Flair, and of course, The Rock. Rock's definitely been the best on the mic since Hogan passed his prime, no doubt about it.

I remember sometimes the Rock backstage would practice what he was going to say over and over before an interview but like Stephanie Mcmahon once said, often times they do improvise once they are in that ring or on the mic. But he's already gifted with charisma and natural talking ability, so that just elevates the effect on the crowd.
