  • This is a "Paul song" from the Sgt Peppers album...

  • Is that Dave Grohl at 1.49?

  • WASN'T john on lead with this song??

  • @beatlestoneful look at paul's age this video. do you think john was gonna come back from the grave to perform the song? of course john was the lead on the album, but that's besides the point.

  • Comment removed

  • @diglesiasnieves Paul sang lead... He wrote it and showed it to John Lennon, who then came up with those falsetto "no I can't complain" and "couldn't get much worse" lines.

  • great singing perfomance

  • 2:02 I WANT ONE!!

  • Great that his life is getting better ... he's always been one of the good guys.

  • This is the MOST FAVORITE song among the beatles' songs.

  • imagine you're one of his concerts, then paul starts playing the intro on his guitar......so fucking awesome!!!

  • i like it

  • Creepy cameo by Heather Mills.

  • For someone who claimed to to know much of The Beatles I'm surprised she let herself been seen singing the words.

  • I wonder if it gets any less awkward singing about beating you woman.

  • This was the first beatles song i ever heard many years ago and ive been well and truly hooked, (scratch that - obsessed), since

  • it's so sad that the only Beatles' songs that i know is the ones that are in the Rock Band and i don't have money to buy the albums T_T

  • I just love Paul Mccartney's music. I just must for get that he's such a lefty and I'm o.k.

  • the Beatles were a once in a lifetime experience. They will go down in history

    for all time.

  • 3 people are Blue Meanies

  • 3 people are not getting better.

  • 3 gay bitches saw this video

  • it's incredible how every time i hear that music, IT GETS BETTER!!!!!

    long life to Paul.

  • Fascinating to hear the songs that were never performed live before! Knowing that Paul was the one who wanted the Beatles to go on tour again in the late sixties ... 40 years later he does it ... great! You need to have patience sometimes.

  • this is a classic example of that little song hidden in the middle of side one, not so popular, not a hit, but turning into a treasured favorite with age. One of the best PM songs ever

  • M A G I C !!

  • I want to eat him alive at 2:52 :)

  • Was that Heather Mills I saw at 2:48?

  • @nyshortline - And Its A Rip Off Of "Given To Fly" By Pearl Jam.....

  • This song is for someone who needs it...

  • amazing, but it'll never be as good as it would be with john there.

    fuck you chapman..

  • paul only after os bruxos again confer here on youtube

  • 1:49 i think you should calm down ther with the drumming pal, your a bit off on tht massive drum roll haha.... Long live the Beatles!!!

  • Yes, Paul, you're getting better all the time!

  • Do Paul did dead?

  • The sign language isn't working. It's perfect for a lecture or conference, but it's not working here. That's like a blind person going to see a high action movie, and having someone explaining what's going on. The drama and excitement isn't there.

  • @YoureGuilty How would you know that the sign language isn't working? Are you Deaf? Deaf people feel the vibrations of the music and enjoying "listening" to the lyrics the same as anyone. The interpreter gives them equal access to entertainment that you take for granted. I am a Sign Language Interpreter and I love signing songs. Although some Deaf people don't like music, SOME DO! THAT INTERPRETER WAS AWESOME!!!

  • @MoostressFrauCow Sorry, I didn't mean to upset anyone. I didn't know that about deaf people i.e. vibrations. I totally understand that music is for all, but couldn't understand how an interpreter could realise those sounds for people who had hearing difficulties. Good call.

  • @YoureGuilty Also, it depends how deaf someone is, they could be legally deaf, but still be able to hear music if it's turned waaaay up. And at most concerts, the sound is at that level, so they could get the music, but might not be able to make out the lyrics. Hence the interpreter.

  • @MoostressFrauCow

is it safe to say that the deaf could possibly have a slight idea of how the song actually is? based on tempo from vibrations? thats interesting that they still listen to music.

  • @MoostressFrauCow not to mention the fact its like reading poetry using sign language in a way- except its not spoken, its shown. plus people would enjoy watching the players and the graphics on screen

  • PEACE

  • Awsome! PEACE LOVE FROM AMERICA.

  • Beatles ROCK my fav band john fav musicain . btw paul is still looking young. Keep rocin for peace Paul! PEACE LOVE HARMONY FROM ANERICA!

  • did I see right - is that an interpreter for the deaf? If it´s right - cool!!!!!

  • Will Lee (Letterman/Paul Schaeffer band) on bass?

whoever's playing is doing a fine job with Paul's lines

  • what a band.......

  • Is that Heather "I got $33 mil form Paul" Mills at 2:52?

  • YOU'RE THE FUCKIN' BEST, DUDEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • YOU'RE FUCKIN' GOOD, MAN! THINK YOU CANT EVEN HURT CHUCK NORRIS! (or not)

  • Dude this is my feel good song

  • Macca forever! ,,\/

  • this song is getting better.

  • @Dogoberto9 and it already was great to start with!

  • It's getting better, a little better, all the time!!!!

    Since you've been mine!!

    Whoehoew, love this song

  • Who is this? Not a bad performance of Getting Better. But still needs a little more 60's!! THE BEATLES 4 EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • there is a woman doing sign language in the front lol

  • Paul McCartney has to be the only person that sounds the same as he did 40 years ago!

  • it´s getting better all the time

  • one of the most underrated beatle songs ever..one of my personal favorites("your mother should know" is another)

  • @elwin38 probably one reason its underrated cause its in the sgt peppers album

as we beatles fan all know that sgt peppers is the greatest album of the fab four

it has songs like a day in the life, lucy in the sky with diamonds , etc.

  • @genki217 my favorite Beatles album is Revolver but Sgt Pepper is a close 2nd...just my opinion. doesnt take away from the brilliance of that album. the only song i really dont care about on that album was "Within,Without You". it took me a LONG time to finally halfway listen to that song...it has a great message though: "LIFE FLOWS ON WITHIN YOU AND WITHOUT YOU"!!:)

  • @elwin38 probably revolver is better than sgt peppers. but critics said sgt peppers is the greatest album of all time. even though i have listened to that song many time, the lyrics are to deep for me to understand.

it show how george is such a genius :D

  • I love it that when you watch any concert Paul does the crowd goes wild just after the first chords. Not to many bands can clam that thousands of people can recognize any one of their songs just by the first few guitar chords.

  • It's pretty hard to find Fixing A Hole too but I think thats part of the Live In Red Square DVD which has an awesome live version of Fool On The Hill Too. Probably my fave live gig from Paul along with Citi Fields 2009.

  • Your Right I get that feeling too. All though he did say anything is possible when asked that Question Will The Beatles Get Back Together ?

  • It would of been wild to hear john Singing those Beatle songs today ! Question is Would he would of done it ?

  • @spazzcat03 Looked like John was getting tired of The Beatles towards the end.

  • mannn i feel sorry for that signer. 0:25 haha

  • PAUL HE IS THE BEST ONE BY ALWAYS

  • Nice to see Paul & band, but I don't need to see all his uncool fans

  • Paul jsut won A Gershwin Award at the white House for pop music- he's one of only 3 poeple ever to get it, and I can see how Paul deserves it- Paul is so amazing!

  • Sir Paul McCartney what a legend!!! Awesome band!!!

  • me encanta wooooww¡¡¡¡

  • WAY TOO MANY SHOTS OF THE AUDIENCE. Hey! I want to see Paul McCartney play a Beatles gem ... not a bunch of idiots clapping and singing along and bouncing up and down and doing sign language. Who was the moron director of this concert footage?

  • @ChimpAflame the best band that will be in this planet forever¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • One of my favorites...but I have SO many by the Beatles and Paul McCartney. I mean, look at all their musicical works and vast catalogue. How can one mind contain and produce all they've produced? But, these guys certainly did it!!! Icons. :-)

  • This is dedicated to my wife... But I try to treat her well, all the time!

  • AVIATIO,Lennon is dead

  • Thay replaced Jhon,George, and Ringo!Paul sounds betterwith the three of them....WHAT A FAIL!

  • damn b-tch Heather is there too...

PS cool video. very very glad that Paul sings these songs. all of his songs are great but 1.5-2 hours is always not enough to sings even most part of them :)

  • i love the beatles i admit its the best band EVER!

  • LENNON WHERE ARE YOU Man???

  • Damn, McCartneys still got it, sounds great

  • A magic performance, timeless.

The music of the Beatles will be listened to and enjoyed for generations to come.

  • Paul has played this song before at other small concerts, plus him and John and the Beatles sang it- John helped write it in fact. John and Paul sing it in the Let it Be Sessions

  • lol i like the big guy on the drums, he has a high singing voice

  • Comment removed

  • I hate beatles But now i like them after listening to this song O_O

  • I've made this comment so many times....Sir Paul still has it!!!!

  • This live version has just meant this is now my favourite Beatles Song. And if you can't have Ringo then I want that drummer.....he is so cool!!!!!

  • @rutwilk the drummer is Abe Laboriel Jr.- he's the drummer forPaul's band Wings- his father is a famous bass player which probably helps

  • wooow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i still tear up. especially the live shows...

  • This song also opened Paul's Red Square concert (with video).

  • Love this song. Have seen Paul a few times he's brill.

  • "Getting Better" is a song written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon, based on an original idea by McCartney.[3] It was recorded by The Beatles for the 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

  • who wrote this song?

  • :. Fuck! John and Paul were the greatest!! Paul is so fuckin good! but I prefer John! ::

  • this is the magic of the beatles the sound is never getting old

  • @revenza, yes you are totally right. Paul is the centre, and the start, of what is great in rock today. The guy just captures, and expresses, live performance of beautiful music.. A genius? For sure... A living legend?... Absolutely

  • @revenza It's only getting better!

  • @revenza no, it's getting better, all the time ;)

  • @revenza YOu are right MAN!!

  • the song that mostly beatles fan always forgot........GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME

  • @karimmatlin -what do u mean, forgot? y?

  • fuckin awsome!!!

  • Seeing Paul live will bring tears to your eyes....absolutely the master...

  • ive never seen such a big drummer that was so good

  • @Nattyboy100 (LOL) - check out Devin Townsend's Strapping Young Lad

  • According to the Guinness World Records, Paul McCartney is the world's most successful songwriter and composer. His song "Yesterday" is the world's most popular song to cover.

  • @Zizzister yes, you're right. You'd be amazed how many awards he's wonand where he's played- he's played for the Queen even, Paul was knighted by the Queen too wich is why he can use the title "sir" in fornt of his name- so oficially its Sir James Paul McCartney. I can see why Paul is sucessful- the Beatles were 4 very talented guys- and they're still musical geniuses

  • @Zizzister Where did I read that. . . Oh wait Wikipedia. . . Yeah, those exact lines.

  • i love that drummer! he's so into it!

  • Vet, ik kan ook niet wachten :D

    word mijn eerste keer trouwens.

  • 9 december I'm going to see paul perform live. Can't believe it, I am so excited.

  • Gelredome Arnhem? Ik ben er ook bij! :D

Het brengt herinneringen boven van 24 april 2003... ik was dertien toen en er met mijn ouders bij, beste ervaring ooit.

Nu ben ik 20 en heeft het me voor het leven gevormd... ik kan niet wachten om weer te gaan!

  • where man ?!

  • Comment removed

  • wow paul rocked. the rest were carried.

  • you lot arguing about who was the best, who wrote more songs, who wrote the middle eight etc. Who cares. What do you think Lennon & McCartney would say to that (except in 1969 when they were arguing too) It doesn't matter. The Idea is to, er, enjoy the music?

  • I totally agree

    JHP

  • Fabulous!!!

  • bullshit!!!!

  • yeah for real deaf people have no business bein at a concert but maybe the beatles music is so great that it can even reac deaf peoples ears lol

  • why would you take deaf people to a concert?!?!?!?!?

  • deaf people can feel the vibrations of the music.

  • "I'd beat her and keep her apart from the things that she loved" Wow, some hard days that character comes from.

  • Lennon has said that he was an abusive husband/partner, but he changed his ways.

  • I guess these tough boys used a lot of stuff from their background in their songs. Lennon was always changing for the better ("there are no problems, only solutions..."). But it's funny: I'll always love his angry songs the most.

    Peace to you, NZRand0M!

  • Damn! I played this video & then played the version from the Sgt. Pepper album. I am stunned by how much he made it sound like the original. The man's a genius.

  • You're right reymengwapo: it is a unique video of this song

  • What a beautiful performance. Thank you Paul.

  • was he in México?....seems like "el palacio de los deportes..."...

  • This is one of those collaboration songs where Paul added a cheerful

part to a song written along with John.

John wrote the "I used to be cruel....", and Paul wrote the "It's getting better..."

The same thing happened on "A Day In The Life". Paul wrote the "Got up got out of bed..." part against the "I read the news today...." part of John's.

I think that's why the Beatles worked so well. They balanced each other out.

  • Yeah also in this song, Pauls lines were "It's getting better all the time" Johns wrote the "It cant get no worse" lines :)

  • haha same with "we can work it out"

paul did 'we can work it out', john did 'life is very short'.

  • Or to be even more specific, Paul wrote most -- if not all -- of the music, and John co-wrote the second and third verse, in addition to coming up with the counter-line in the chorus, perhaps both lyrically AND musically.

    70/30 in McCartney's favour.

    I guess that's sufficiently specific.

  • have u seen this old movie about John Lennon in which they showed how Lennon wrote Imagine? John Lennon was the true composer of The Beatles. He wrote most of their music and McCartney was the one co-writimg and later on taking most of the credit, McCartney is a damn excellent performer but he is nowhere near Lennon's composing genious. Otherwise it wouldnt have been John's solo tracks that rocked that much after the break up of the Beatles but Pauls

  • I think you ought to do some more research. Commercially, none of the other three Beatles came close to having such a successful post-Beatles career as Paul.

    John's solo tracks rocked?

    Which ones?

    All of them?

    And, besides: says who?

John was probably the main writer of 5-10 more songs than Paul was, that's all.

And in the later years(1966-1969), Paul had a slight upper hand.

    Credit?

Well, why do you assume that every word John told interviewers was the entire truth?

  • Its exactly that Paul has always been more commercially successful. He has done a good job creating his image in front of the general audience but his success lies mainly in playing the old Beatles songs, whereas John has solo tracks he wrote for himself which became legendary (an example is Imagine)

  • Yeah paul never wrote any succesful solo records did he? Quit trying to be smart and bagging him and just piss off.

  • John's 'advantage' over Paul after The Beatles is largely due to the fact that he died[on the cross?] before making too many shitty records, and his untimely death makes some view his work as better than it really was.

'John Lennon -- Plastic Ono Band' was brilliant, although extremely bleak.

'Imagine', and a couple of the others, were good -- or at least adequate.

You know, after the break up, Paul didn't do ANY Beatles numbers live until 1975.

    Research!

  • Most of what you're saying is just wrong. To even suggest that Paul didn't write a significant amount of the Beatles music himself is a complete insult to him.

  • Yeah... band on the run?

  • this is such a stupid point of view

  • i love this song. it really makes me feel better...

  • This song is from the Sgt. Pepper's album

  • try to do better than him....

  • Until he got fed up with his fans and threatened to burn all his fan's fanmail. Good ol' Ringo, right?

  • Ringo refuses to sign autographs. Paul has no problem with it. What were you saying?

  • Ringo's got his own life. He can do what he likes. So can Paul. I'm entitled to an opinion
