I have the cube, it just never updated to tell me to bring it back....so I went back to blackreach, thinking maybe I did something wrong. It kept leading me to the door to the tower. Then I searched up this Youtube video. And now I know I am doomed to never finish this quest. Sigh...another quest I can never complete...they're really starting to pile up.....

@TheTay123456789 No no, you misunderstand. I already have the cube. The game just didn't update the quest. It's in my inventory, I even went back to the spot it was supposed to be in just to make sure I didn't get the wrong thing. I did pick it up, it's just not registering it.

I watched this video to transcribe the lexicon and get the elder scroll. Even though I read all the comments that said not to forget it I still did and went to Septimus. I face palmed myself as hard as I could, but then I remembered I previously saved when I got the elder scroll. Lucky me.

my skyrim is glitched. already did this quest and everythin and i just noticed it still has the quest non complete for me. so i went back down and followed the markers and tht door tht leads where the lexicon is the marker will disappear once im in there. weird....

@Shanepooted I dont know if you already did. But make sure that you pick up the cube, at the control area. When you enter the elder scroll room the marker goes away, if you mission is to "transcribe the lexicon" Once it is picked up, the marker should say to go back to skyrim. Hope this helps?

Thanks so much! Every time I used Clairvoyance [I did only have the lexicon quest on] it took me around the area and I found out an elevator and on like the third time going round I was like "Hmm...." So kids, never trust Clairvoyance. :D
