he died at 67, Lis in her 60's also, terribly young and upsetting, missed all of them Nick Courtney too, all gone... but never ever forgotten. I remember Patrick in the Box of Delights, I thought he was wonderful
@DrWhoFan80: Oooo... that's a hard one. I know that Netflix recently added Thriller, Season 1 to their vault, but Pat's episode was from season four. I had received my footage from a friend across the pond, but I know that aggedor.com has a couple clips for the viewing (not the whole episode unfortunately). Go to the site - click on Pat's photo at the top of the screen, and scroll down the list until you reach Thriller (1975). Click the link & you can watch the clips. Hope that helps!
@DrWhoFan80 Thats wierd, i was just thinking about that before i came on here, i remember it, it also had diana dors in it, and something about a box, its on dvd,..isnt it on youtube. It was transmitted on the 11th january 1975, about 9pm, it was a saturday, the same day they showed Doctor who, 'robot'
@rickothewhitto: Patrick kept a quiet family life - he wanted to keep his private life separate from his public on for the sake of his family. Because of that, it's very difficult to find personal information about him. About the best advise you'll find anywhere is that his last known residence before passing was near Hampton Court. My guess is that he'd be buried somewhere nearby, but that is only a guess.
What is the program at c 1 minute and than later (same program I think) c 2:53)?? I can't find any other video online that matches. Thanks for posting - really nice tribute to a versatile actor.
@KatherineLeda: In the 1970's, there was a British drama series known as Thriller. Both clips were from the episode "Nurse Will Make It Better." Thanks for watching!
@KatherineLeda: These clips are from an episode of the show Minder entitled "Windows". My favorite clip is Patrick picking up his "granddaughter" and carrying her into the next room. I love the fatherly expression on his face. :0)
I just noticed that you uploaded this vid two days before my 19th birthday--what a splendid "accidental" birthday present, lol! :P Thank you for creating and uploading!
Still my favourite Dr, loved him since I was around 9/10 in the late 60s watching him on the show. Seems to have a great sense of humour, wonder why he was married so many times. He died just before I went to the UK :(
@rebelrecording: Thank you. I'm glad you liked the video. I wish that I would have had the opportunity to meet him as well as he truly was one of the greats. Thanks for watching!
Pat was taken from us far too young, he was brilliant actor and I miss him now I am older, he lives on in my car stereo in all the dr who episodes I got on CD
@buffykidd1971 - I'm officially jealous. All the episodes I have are on DVD & I haven't had a lot of time as of late to watch them. I've been itching to revisit the episodes myself, & would love a CD set to listen to in the vehicle. Thanks for watching... and I had the same thought about the bald sequence. ;)
its no fair... he was taken from us far too young..... I love his acting everything I see him in he was fantastic.... its weird when he has the bald head you can see David his son through that! Thanks so much for putting this up.
Pure beauty! A wonderful tribute to a true legend who should be remembered! This is amazing! I've been a fan of Patrick because of Doctor Who and i'm so glad that some of the other things he was in is on here. Thankyou soooooooooooo much and the song is beautiful. What is the thing called where he is the vicar? and what episode of Only Fools was he in??? :D xxx Thankyou soo much again
Brilliant collection of his work. Didn't know he appeared on Only When I Laugh. I didn't see the Doomwatch footage on there nor the Prof Waggstaff film. All in all though, fab. :)
I know, I really should go back and do a more comprehensive collection of his work. One of my favorites, "A Family At War", didn't make it in either. It was the first video I ever did, and as such I was still working through the technical kinks. Thanks for watching! :D
Thanks for that. This was my first video that I ever made, and due to that was a painstaking labor of love. I've always been a fan of Pat's work, and I'm glad that it gives you happy memories. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope that the video continues to give you the "warm-fuzzies". ;)
Tremendous! Totally brilliant. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful man and the song was purrrrrrfect. I really loved it. I'm so glad my sis sent it to me and so glad you made it.
Ooo, one of my favorites. It's from a show called Thriller from 1975. The episode is called "Nurse Will Make It Better." Pat plays a priest by the name of Brother Lyall, who is losing his faith and has taken to the bottle for comfort. He is needed to fight the forces of evil, but is unsure if he can cope.
The series is one from 1959 called H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man. The episode is called "Strange Partners" and Pat plays a character named Vickers who is being pressured into selling his half of a gold mine.
R.I.P. Patrick Troughton. Wonderful actor with a very warm, sweet presence on screen.

Sorry to bother, but what movie is 4.06 from...it has the AMC logo in the corner.
I happen to get that channel (yippee)! so I'd like to watch to see if it airs on TV.
Thanks, appreciate it! =D

It's from a movie called The Gorgon (1964). Pat played a character named Inspector Kanof. I just think he looks dashing in the cape. ;)

And. Not to mention that he really was quite a charismatic fellow, at least to my eyes. :)

Charismatic and a practical joker. He could be quite mischievous when the mood took him. ;)

Oh, he was wonderful. A working actor and very much a professional. :) Died far too soon, I think. Great to see a compilation like this.
