There were virtually NO BLACKS(I like the ring of that!) in South Africa until White Dutch settlers came there in the 1600's and made it one of the wealthiest countries on Earth. Only THEN did Blacks begin moving into the area - for JOBS offered to them by the Whites - from areas much furthur north. Apartheid was meant to HELP develop the Black areas while preserving the White regions. Racial integration has NEVER worked anywhere on Earth. The Whites knew that.
