Nice work guys. A few comments on the arrangement. When the accompaniment plays the exact same rhythm figure as the melody the whole piece becomes a set of moving chords which is far different than providing a contrasting back drop to the melody. So in fact play less. The second solo is a beautiful example of this!!! Walking bass and improvisation which simply floats over the accompaniment!

@cracks21229 Technically, it is not a violation of copyright law in this form unless they intend to market & sell this as entirely their own, in which case they would require permission from The Beatles for the use of the title and original song from which their rendition was made. I don't see them selling it anywhere, and the description says "Our version, for two guitars, of this song." which distinguishes it from The Beatles' original. YouTube won't remove this for copyright infringement.

@SgtShwat No, technically it is a violation of copyright laws. Youtube is making money off of the views of the song. I don't know if the two guys are making any money, but I do know that Youtube uses the total number of views to promote itself to advertisers. It is the same formula as a bar that hosts an open mic. Even though the performers aren't paid, if they do covers, the bar technically has to pay ASCAP or BMI fees. Why? Because the bar is making money from the use of those songs.

i've read through some of these comments and see a trend, but these guys have took a song and played around with it and had some fun, there's no point trying to replicate the beatles as they are a unique group.

the basis and melody for the song is there but they've done it in a style which suits them, I'm slightly biased as i sometimes play guitar, but the guy on the right in this video knows how to play, far to many people whining because its not a typical carbon copy of a masterpiece

@TheBunnySensation. It's not that too much was going on. It's that they wrote it in a slow acoustic jazz style with a sort of slow bluegrass intro, and in that sytle they have done wonderfully. Rehearse a bit more and lower the audio level for which ever guitar is playing support and you would be even better.

Nah, nah! This is good stuff, way better than most of the already well-off Beatles interpretations. It just sounds a little busy, which kind of makes it into a more complex song that beats around the bush in the original song plants simply and effortlessly.

I have no objection to people covering Beatle songs if the version is really good. Fanny, Laibach, Booker T & the MGs, Alma Cogan and the Langley School Music Project, to name just five, have done great covers of Beatles songs. I still think that this version is just not very good. They're fine players, but they've taken all the hurt and sadness out of this song, in my opinion. I think it's just too damn cheerful.

I still think that some Beatle songs are more suited to covering than others. Alma Cogan's version of 'Help!' is pretty good, and 70s all-girl band Fanny did a great version of 'Hey Bulldog'; Laibach's version of 'Across the Universe' is lovely, and I have a soft spot for Booker T. & the MGs 'McLemore Avenue' which is an instrumental cover version of 'Abbey Road'. The Langley Schools Music Project version of 'Long and Winding Road' is arguably better than the Phil Spector-produced version.
