@ItsTehOrange don't use splitters. They will decrease the signal and give you terrible quality. You need to amplify your signal.Using a dazzle for HD games especially is a big mistake so you know.

@Drulez1995 I didn't see this until now. Recording in color shouldn't be an installation issue. You need to connect it properly and a dazzle you can't do HD you must do SD. Best quality you can do is use an SD cable.
Look at newer videos I took of COD4. It got way better after I tinkered but I'll go look at your videos if you have any and if they're better than my new ones I'll inquire what you did.

i found a way to play on hd while recording with the dazzle 101 u keep your cambles from the xbox normally on the tv. then u take a video out scart cable and plug it to ur scart, and the 3 male component cables u plug em into ur dazzle, thats it. and everything u make with the controller of ur tv isnt on the video but all the other signals like ur pc and the programm u are on like on my tv its called YPBPR is getting recorded ;)

I am by no means a tech guy. I am learning the basics and sometimes things come to my understanding naturally or I need to get a lecture from an expert. From my understanding with Dazzles everyone I've seen talk about HD TVs and using the dazzle they don't include plugging in the HD components. Basic using a dazzle with the TV you need splitters (hurts video quality) or an amplified splitter box thing and a few double male component cables. Be more specific and I'll try and answer less vague.
There are a ton of different settings. I have yet to fully figure out what to set it on still. I did figure out a decent quality and HQ settings. Keep in mind uploading to Youtube hurts quality too.
I got the XP version. I hated editing with WMM but people say it is better to capture with it since it wont be in some weird ass format whatever dazzle uses. The first set of options is named "Capture Video" and in those options choose "Capture from video device"

its more in the compression than the capturing itself. I'm not real sure what program you are using to compress it but there are plenty of tuts on here.

me again, did you dazzle svc 101 come with 3 installation discs or 1 ?
becuz i got mine today, and i only had 1 disc and there wasnt even pinnacle studio 10 quick start on it !

um use windows movie maker 2.6 and record in 16:9 wide screen much better, and if you have windows vista premium render in HD !

its more in the compression than the capturing itself. I'm not real sure what program you are using to compress it but there are plenty of tuts on here.
