This still doesn't explain how Marlena came in to Tonys hospital and killed him with that injection.

Thats why this plot twist seem so far-fetched, cause Tony looked real chocked when he found out that it was Marlena. If he was the mastermind behind it he wouldn't look that chocked.

I think that the original plan was to have Marlena as the killer and all the victims to be dead.

But since it wasn't very popular thy came up with this silly island thing and all the boring characters came back!!

@jajceboy I would assume tony looking schocked was implanted in Marlena's mind just like the other killings. Maybe Tony injected himself with the drug used on the others or hired someone else to do it. I suspect by the time Marlena was revealed and supposedly shot they were already plotting to bring the characters back. It gave all the veterens a chance to shine be be front burner.

Andre is Tony's cousin - his storyline begins in 1984. After undergoing plastic surgery, he impersonated Tony during the Salem Slasher storyline.

I believe there are clips from that storyline on here somewhere.
