  • this is a beautiful song and done very well with lyrical and unhurried well done well done and holding out the notes am in highschool doing this song and i think as a person going on 5 years chorus and a pro singer this class did a perfect job you guys should try "Freedom song" arranged by lon beery it was based on symphony no. 1 in C minor try it i think u guys will nail it !!!!

  • these are MIDDLE SCHOOLERS?! they sound almost as good as my college Women's Chorus! WOW!! my only critique, and it is a small one, is that I could use more alto. other than that, this is AMAZING!!

  • Beautiful, my favorite choir song ever, i remember singing it in 6th grade, Great Job!

  • This is a wonderful performance for a middle school choir.

  • An excellent piece for the choir, sung thoughtfully with careful use of dynamics and a sensitivity and gentleness appropriate for The Lily and the Rose. However, having sung in places like that stage, it would be better if they were slightly closer to each other as it can be difficult to hear each other due to the way the sound is carried. Finally, the movement thing is fine, not all songs require movement to accentuate climatic parts of the song, the choir executed them almost perfectly withou

  • we're going to sing this in my highscool chior and it's my favorite so far of the ones we're singing :)

  • you've inspired me to write a book-- the song shall be mentioned within my storyline :D

  • this is beautiful, i am a voice teacher, their singing is sensitive and their entrances perfect, the intonation is not flat andit is pleasing to the ear.

  • i love this song we had to sing this in girls choir its a really hard song and im only in 6th grade

  • This piece was dedicated to my choir :)

  • it's quite flat

  • que canción tan hermosa, y que voces tan bellas tienen chicas felicidades

  • i luv this song, so beautiful and they sing like pros. they have dynamics and everything

  • We're singing this in choir! I love it.

This is REALLY good for a middle school choir i should add

  • We're singing this in choir! I love it

  • You guys sound awesome! Our choir just sang this, but with Soprano, Alto Tenor & Bass, the parts sound really awesome. Probably my favourite song of the year.

  • Beautiful song [:

My best friend and I sang this as a duet last year :D

  • wow guys that is AMAZING

  • my middle school choir is singing this, it's so beautiful!

  • Am singing this song in choir! so pretty yet so sad.... In the music it says that a bailey is a grave keeper and that in medival times if they were not sure some one was dead they would bury them with a bell so that if they woke up they would ring the bell and be un buried. And if the bell was not rung for a certain time period they would say the person is dead and take away the bell

  • I sang this in 5th grade in a choir that I tried out for. :) This was my favorite and I remember wanting to know the meaning of it soooo badly.

  • My daughter's name is Lily Rose. :) Thanks for the beautiful song. <3

  • a little off on the notes sometimes but great for young voices! I'm singing this for my high school choir as well

  • my choir is sining this too. i love it

  • same

  • niche

  • i'm singing this for choir too. i love it, its beautiful

  • our choir is singing this at the moment. it is apparently according to most analysis's of this about a girl who is about to marry at a young age to a man her parents chose for her who she does not want to marry

  • It is indeed a 'brave' choice for an all-female middle school choir since 'The Lily and the Rose' is a 16th century poem about under-age sex.

However they sing it beautifully, as will London Gay Men's Chorus when they perform in December 2009 at Cadogan Hall, London and in Southwark Cathedral, the men's voices giving it extra resonance.

  • Im so excited that I got advanced choir this year!!! That was so beautiful. (:

  • wooow.great work...congratulations

  • Many greetings from Germany. I love this song.

    And it sounds so beautiful.

    :)

  • This piece is a terrific choice for a middle school women's choir. BRAVO!!!! These girls have talent...good work!!!

  • What can I say? Beautiful tone for a middle school woman's choir that's for sure!

Very impressive, I like it a lot! 10/10!

Keep up the beautiful rich tone!

  • what do you mean by "not really a performance though?"

  • You are right.... we work on that but have found little success! How much better could it had been even...

  • It was very good, and you don't need to move, if you go into a catherdral to see a choir, they are not moving :S

  • @klekje What movement would you prefer. They are not a gospel choir and people come to hear them sing not to watch them dance. Sometimes you even have to remind even the audience of that fact.

  • @klekje i actually agree, my choir sings it 100 times better

  • we're singing this in choir, probably one of my favorite songs. ever. period.

  • @kittykat12211 same :3
