Maybe Beyonce does do things to stay on top and keep up with the competition...lets face it, the music biz is cut throat and regardless of how "big" you get, you must keep your guards up, you must keep up with the music, you must be able to keep the fans interested in you and your music. @msl2821 How can Beyonce "outshine" Kelly by putting out a music video? Beyonce has the level of success that Kelly only wishes she had. Bey is so focused on trying to stay relevant that she has this "I must win, I must be the best at all times" frame of thinking, thus the releasing of videos and songs from previous albums. I don't see the harm in that...who knows what we would do if we were in the biz...we would probably do the same thing to stay on top....to be number one.
i think people need to realise that if kelly wants to make it big on her own she needs to be able to shine on her own regardless of what beyonce is doing. there's room for everybody; artists like rihanna and lady gaga have managed to make it big. if kelly and michelle can't take the natural competition and need beyonce to take a vacation when ever they release something they aren't strong enough for the industry. not saying that's the case. i like all three of them.

Hey Makeal, big Alex fan here. She is changing the album for the US release, a bunch of tracks leaked a few weeks back and a few seemed to be a bit more urban (they've re-done some of her early demos as well as a duet with bruno mars, some 90's style stuff and more US themed ballads).
I imagine she'll release when there's less female competition and when the time's right. They're really not rushing it and focusing more on the rest of Europe and Australia before the US.

Maybe Beyonce does do things to stay on top and keep up with the competition...lets face it, the music biz is cut throat and regardless of how "big" you get, you must keep your guards up, you must keep up with the music, you must be able to keep the fans interested in you and your music. Kelly takes loyality to another level and I just don't think Beyonce is all that loyal to Kelly...her career comes first and foremost and everything else is secondary.

Bey is so focused on trying to stay relevant that she has this "I must win, I must be the best at all times" frame of thinking, thus the releasing of videos and songs from previous albums. I don't see the harm in that...who knows what we would do if we were in the biz...we would probably do the same thing to stay on top....to be number one.

i think people need to realise that if kelly wants to make it big on her own she needs to be able to shine on her own regardless of what beyonce is doing. there's room for everybody; artists like rihanna and lady gaga have managed to make it big. if kelly and michelle can't take the natural competition and need beyonce to take a vacation when ever they release something they aren't strong enough for the industry. not saying that's the case. i like all three of them.

Kelly problem is that she is too loyal, she put her trust in the wrong people who she though was her friend. But now that she see the light, my girl will be fine. When it comes down to 'stepping on toes' you should be able to hold your own in the entertainment industry. I honestly feel like between Kelly and Beyonce, Beyonce is the stronger, more widespread performer which is why she gets more buzz. Some people just have 'it' more than others...c'est la vie!

Hey Makeal, big Alex fan here. She is changing the album for the US release, a bunch of tracks leaked a few weeks back and a few seemed to be a bit more urban (they've re-done some of her early demos as well as a duet with bruno mars, some 90's style stuff and more US themed ballads).
I imagine she'll release when there's less female competition and when the time's right. They're really not rushing it and focusing more on the rest of Europe and Australia before the US.
