Before Howie Day, there was Jeffrey Gaines. The dude is incredible. This album is great too. Get it on I-Tunes if you can't find it anywhere else.

One of the most overlooked talents ever... "Jeffrey Gaines" was one of the most incredible albums ever. If you can find a copy, I strongly urge you to pick it up. Saw him in a bar in Buffalo when this came out, despite only seven people showing up (there was a snow storm) he put on a great show and spent time talking with all of us.

That's interesting. I apologize, I should've been more clear. I think Jeffrey was and is a solo artist. If I remember correctly Shea co-wrote one song on Jeff's first album, and I think played bass on the track. I was just asking whether he played on the rest of the album as well.

As far as I know Shea wasn't a part of Jeff's backup band, just his 'compatriot.' I hope that clears things up.

Mr. Unit. I don't know Jeffrey personally, but I live about 5 miles from where he grew up. I did see him a few times at some of the local clubs in Harrisburg. We all had a feeling that he would make it big. He was played a lot on the radio stations in the area. Does he ever come back to the Harrisburg area to visit?
