So are you saying that when Hillary suggested that it was OK for pledged delegates to switch because she needed them. But Obama should give them back to her, even though Johnson was trying to keep his district happy.
'TheYoungTurks', now I see why you guys are Hillary supporters...you want to change the rules to please yourself f**k everybody else.
Actually "The Young Turks" hates Hillary, but they want to be fair!! They respect and support Obama's candidacy, while they fairly criticize Hillary's! They're against Johnson's switch because they think it's undemocratic and because they are against Hillary stealing Obama's delegates!!
I hate clinton but pledged delegates should follow the will of the voters. Also this guy is an idiot. Obviously he likes Obama but he could actually end up hurting Obama. What if pledged delegates for Obama start going to Hillary for some reason. Scary ground we are treading on here.
Maybe Jack Johnson walked in on Hillary streching her synthetic human face disguise over her reptillian alien head and decided to vote with his conscience!
Even though I prefer Obama That was just lame to switch. This system is on crack anyway, shows that delegates could be bribed. BTW we don't live in a democracy..people should really stop calling it that.
As a consequence of this necessarily disproportional delegate allocation we end up with a situation where the votes of some Americans are worth more than the votes of others.
That is true to an extent. The purpose of the system is to create balance between the states so that the bigger ones don't bully the rest. You could make a similar argument as yours for having a bicameral system where there are 2 senators per state and the house is proportional. Technically, you are giving some states more power by having 2 senators, the same as a huge state. However, this is necessary to keep balance so that the government doesn't become the tyrany of the majority rule.
I respectfully disagree with you. I am college educated but I know the extent of my knowledge on political issues. I have a lot of time and I actually follow what is happening in this election process. The majority of americans don't follow politics. They make decisions based upon who relates to them most. In this election they base their votes on race and gender, to hell with the canidates policies. I do not want idiots deciding who will lead us. I want educated politicans leading up. Go Obama.
Hillbots will cry sabotage now and fault her loss on it, but they'll conveniently forget that HRC was the one who said that "there is no such thing as a pledged delegate". HRC was actually the one who tried to get superdelegates to switch. I agree the guy has to go back to HRC. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if this is part of HRC's plan to make her case that pledged delegates are free to vote for who they want and blame it on Obama. Kind of like: Look he did it first.
Well, she gave her consent to this practice herself, so obviously she has no right to complain when the tables are turned and her own pledged delegates are switching over.
Hillary should have won... that's clear...
but NOOOO... everyone wanted Obama, so now he's stuck with a mess that will not be cleaned up!
In the end, he will fail.
No need to send hate messages, just enjoy your Obama, Obamalibs...
and watch it crumble, as I'm typing now, it's crumbling!

I'm for Obama and I think thats not right. Pledged delegates have to stay with who the people tell them to go with.

Just get rid of delegates in primaries and the general election and use the f'cking popular vote. Problem solved!
AntiChrist67 3 years ago
you can't do that on the general election. That's not how federalism works.
