Not to mention they are certainly not the only members of the band that go off and do other stuff. Joey has Murderdolls, not to mention he's currently drumming for Rob Zombie. Sid has his DJ Starscream stuff, and I'm sure the others do things as well. They have always switched between Slipknot and Stone Sour.
Slipknot was never a side project, it was formerly the band "The Pale Ones" which Joey Jordison had suggested be renamed to Slipknot, also at the time toying with the idea of wearing sic make-up designs witch eventually evolved into to them wearing the mask's they do today.

Not to mention, lyrically speaking, sometimes less is more, and frankly Corey has gone overboard with the metaphors and analogies, its like he focused more on complexity rather than conveying feelings, which completely takes away from the cleverness of metaphorical writing, so much to where it lost its taste and point in a jumble of analogies.. I don't know man, I love Corey, but I'm gonna have to pass on this song...

Wow, this is turning into quite the controversy, ok first things first people who keep saying (pick up an instrument and do something better) I'm a musician and that's a bullshit statement to make, just cause someone doesn't play does not mean their not qualified to have a valid opinion in music! Corey Taylor is one of my idols, both in SS and Slipknot, but honestly this sound is a compilation of a lot of lyrics and music he has already articulated between both bands.. this song is refurbished!

omg! people can bitch about it being radio friendly all they want! but it is an always will be an awesome song! i get tired of all those not so friendly radio songs with the awfull vocal lines! corey did something really melodic here and he proves time and time again that he is an epic songwriter and singer!

im a huge fan of slipknot, but you all need to grow up, lets not forget that stone sour formed THREE YEARS before slipknot, coreys not here to make you happy, hes here to make music that best suites HIM, not you. that goes for every member of slipknot. their not 16-17 years old now (like the teenage idiots that say their "selling out") their 40 years old with wives and kids, and their lyrics and music are alot smarter now than ever (discounting the fact that the band has 5 side projects)
