It's a dollfee dream by volks and it is in pieces at the moment. My mother is a professional artist and has scratched built dolls before. When I went to Japan she wanted to study the famous dollfee dream...
@mokanaman O sweet XD a pro wow that would be way cool to have her do a face up on the doll. I have an obitsu 50cm girly gonna try and scratch build a costume for her myself it should be cool ^^
This is great! I'm going to make a diorama some time, I couldn't really affor the chain bases so I'm going to make one out of wood. I might make a diorama of the Katharon base when it was attacked by the A-laws and their automatons, I love the detail you talk about and Z'gok (not sure i get confused between them!).
Hey man, I'm glade you like it. The only reason I used a cmb is because I picked it up in Japan. They do cost a bit on line and are heavy for a kit so shipping becomes a problem too. I would like to see your effort at your diorama...
just throwing an idea at you, add some water effects (puddles as such) the Z'gok is a aquatic mobile suit at it would add even more realism..................well as much realism as you can get out a giant robot, lol
great job man looking forward to your future works.
Great idea but two problems, this base was designed to hold any 1:144 kit I have and this project wasn't built for 2old4toys contest. It just happened to be finished in time. Thanks for the idea...
Im working on a base. it uses the same chain mechanical base and is split into two halves of a room. it has dirt and rust (not lots), no spills though. i bought alot of these baises and linked the floors together. ith is a rectangle with 16X4 floors and uses two walls together togetherfor each outside flor segment. it is a full room wiht mini lamps on a roof and is modified to fit my 1/60 scale PG's and 1/100 scale mgs. hard to describe. ill make a video when it is finished ( 2-5 months).
The best thing about the chain mechanical base the more effort you put into it to suit your needs the more it will reward you. Lucky it is suited for around 1:100 to 1:72 so MG's and PG's are fine. At a push like I did it can be modded to any were between 1:35 to 1:220 depending on which base you use. I look forward to seeing it...
Thanks for the nice comment. There are too many dio's displaying an epic battle of some description. As much as pilots are hero's people always forget the support crew who keeps that mobile suit in battle. Gihren's speech helped keep the video in context for the contest but my editing skills still sucks. But it was fun to make...
Great work, sir. Kotobukiya's Mechanical Chain Base products are great starting points for enhancing any mecha display. I'll be watching your WiP videos to see how you arrived at the finished work.
Thanks man but if you are going to watch the whole WIP be prepared to lose an hour of your life. I filmed a lot of this sucker while building it, will take for ever to edit...
hey what kinda doll is that? ^^ do a video for her XD

Very nice diorama! Your descriptions also really help bring it to life. Makes me imagine the OYW as a real war... Which is very refreshing!
And the ending portion was also done very well.
Gihren's words still leave quite an impression even after all these years... :)
(LOL at the "space Nazis" remark. xD)

Nice base I think it would have been funny if the Z-gok sat up when the video said (rise our people).
