Thanks for the info I will do the upgrade and I willpost e video also talking about the upgarde in a 3 g alternator which one is the best option the one form the Taurus or the mustang? I saw some info about the taurus option and I think I just need to find the one with the big core and change the wiring for a bigger size and place a fuse but not sure where, have you done this upgrade in to your Crwon Vic ?
I was wondering if have the model from where you get the newer starter form what car is it ? cause I have a crown vic and I would like to do the same to mine, also I was wondering if you also made any other adjusments other then the wiring?
@Johnnymexcrwnvic You can get this from a 1991 5.0 crown vic or early 90's 5.0 mustangs, some V6 rwd cars use this starter too, and many more. I don't know what others exactly but this starter is pretty common. Nothing else is needed other than the appropriate wiring changes. You can also upgrade to a 3G alternator like folks do for other 80's Fords.
