  • So ... which newspapers are snakes?

Which newspapers are traitors to America?

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT IT USES HEART AND TEMPERATURE IT DOES NOT USE BRAINWAVES. ITS A GIMMICK. WAKE THE FUCK UP. PAY GOOD MONEY ITS FROM A TOY COMPANY. THEY WILL DO ANYTHING FOR MONEY.

  • @32ndegree concentrating on something will not significantly increase heart rate and body temperature, especially not enough to be measured by such a device. Plus, heart rate cannot be measured by attaching a measurement device to the head, because there are no major arteries in the superficial skin area of the skull. The device is an EEG that measures brainwaves in the frontal cortex and parietal (or occipital lobe (not sure which one)) lobe. It detects an increase in beta-brainwaves.

  • Some part of my body levitates too with proper brain signals.

  • I'd take it apart and use it to do a simple linear task.. like changing TV channels (lol) or something else... Not a very practical invention at this stage... When they can read brain waves specific to words then we'd have something... (how difficult could it be?) It would help the disabled to talk again and what not... and allow us to play real video games by thinking of words... (run, jump, left.... etc...)

  • lol talk about lame

  • 200 years?! nigga you crazy

  • JESUS CHRIST. WHY ISNT EVERYONE SHITTING THIER PANTS. I WOULD OF JACKED OFF WHEN I WAS 8 IF I EVER SAW THIS THING IN TOY SHOPS.

  • extension cord??? mind control fail

  • @lakersmaster yeah they need to make a blue tooth one.

  • Well 200 years from now ill be dead

  • Your not really doing anything pro-actively to make the ball rise, or the fan blow. All you have to do is think about anything... Seems like a crock-o-crap to me. In other words, they could make it so any thought you have could make a computer do a task, one which is completely unrelated to the thought. More or less any brain activity makes the device turn on, and do whatever the device is designed to do.. I'm more impressed with the EKG than the ping-pong ball and fan.

  • @x1plus1x do you have to be so negative...critigue yes but come on

  • something that rises off thought power alone...i already got one of those in meh pants!!!! and i dont even need a fan to blow on my balls...uncle milton=EPIC FAIL...I = J3Di MASTER.....>BAITER!! FTW

  • @ble1202 hahahah ahamburgers

    damn did that smell good

  • We are all yodas

  • This is so exciting. Not just for this toy but for what will come after this. Hihihihii!

  • lame................LAME!!! it would be great if no machine would be provided then it would be cool.......but this is just the machine doing it..

  • @Baldoxxx4000 Everything we know of, has some kind of beginning

  • Can you just imaging the day where you focus your attention on a shape on the screen to log onto youtube? think of your password, see it in your mind, and you can log in!

  • omg that is so cool! ... though i dont know if i would pay a bit over $100 for it...

  • You don't have to, if you shop around you can get this for about $50 now so its a better deal.

  • play chess with that thing on

  • NikoKun, you can forget mouse and keyboard's, you can buy voice controlled device's that can do it for you!

and have you seen the other mind control game's, they are much better.

  • nooooooooooooo now they'll be able to tell when i'm not really paying attention :( lol

  • soon they'll be putting them in schools so they shook you whenever your not thinkin bout math

  • It's here!

  • Looks shit haha

  • In other words it makes an electrical connection using the musculature in your forehead to have an electric motor create the force to levitate the ball. No trick, but no great accomplishment either. Show me a ball levitating without the device. Then I'll be impressed

  • @cut22, so you'll only be impressed if someone creates a device that magically defies physics? O_o

It's pretty damn impressive that they've got a way to read brain activity, to control a device. Amazing technology right there.

Devices like this will become common place eventually. Forget about that keyboard and mouse, you'll be typing and clicking buttons all with your thoughts someday.

I don't see any way you can call this a "trick".

  • well put. It would be one thing if you put the head set on then make the ball move without a cylinder with a fan making pressure under a ping pong ball..

  • Stumbled from NV

  • its fuckin pluged in

  • it has to be plugged in dumbass, you control the machine with your brainwaves.

  • Stubled.

  • ohmygosh

    for realz?

  • stumbled from ND

  • Stumbled from NC

  • stumbled too

  • Tripped

  • stumbled for all and me too xD

  • hmm this could be a good 1st step for bionics that dont require implants in the brain !

this makes my mind think of the possibilities of what i could do with that simple toy.

  • stumbled

  • Stumble win!

  • requires that one have a brain. that could be a major drawback for widespread sales.

  • Stumbled :)

  • Stambled.

  • stumbled!

  • STUMBLED!!

  • stumbled

  • stumbled!

  • stumbled

  • stumble'd

  • It is the beginning of many brave and scary new dreams. More than a simple toy its future applications when perfected are mind boggling. May we have the wisdom to use this new technology wisely?

  • Ok, Its a must have but, I will wait until they add the plasma lightning ball feature :) $159.00?

  • that's awesome... if you think about it the more you concentrate the more powerfully the plasma ball lights up.

  • I love a reason to just sit on my ass and do nothing all day- this is awesome!!!!

  • ahhh why is it star wars

want it soooo bad but its star wars do they make like other 1s

  • Mind Flex

  • Ha ha, did I mention I'm thinking of getting one of these for my kids (and me too of course) this Christmas?

  • Oh great. If you are worried about children sitting inside playing video games all day and not exercising outside, look what we have to look forward to. Soon children will atrophy so much the meat will fall off their bones.

  • The EEG used in this thing and the mind-machine interface required to fly a fighter, with your mind, without dying, are two totally different things. It's like comparing a nuclear submarine to a bop-it.

  • He said DARPA is funding research for more sophisticated EEG technology. He didn't say "they're going to start putting this toy in fighter jets". This is merely a step in that direction. They have learned how to recognize electrical signals, now they need to figure out how to interpret them into distinguishable commands (it will be decades before that happens, imo).

  • looks like he made it out of his cock pump

  • I'm assuming you would know from experience what a cock pump looks like

  • well yes, yes i do

  • make a giant cyborg suit!

  • by the way! mind flex doesnt work!

  • this will be good! why? because the new generations of kids and people will develop advance and deeper concentration, and eventually it will happen without the machine..........

  • Without the machine, are you stupid? no mater how much you concentrate your physical body doesn't have any means of controlling external objects. the force to do it simply doesn't exit.

  • Didnt you listen??? didnt i make myself clear??? look...., we can achieve higuer levels of concentration and eventually it will be written down in our genes! ... its evolution. you idiot! look it up!

  • Wow your even more retarded then I thought, thats not how the theory of evolution works.....You dont just will something into your genes, and by the way the change it would take to your genes to somehow alow the human body to use telekinesis is such a huge change I don't even know how you can defend your self with "its evolution"

  • You're an idiot. This is just "The Clapper" but harder to use.

  • not true; an "acquired" trait is not passed on to your children.

e.g. you being able to do a double backflip doesn't mean your kid will be able to do one.

    or,

If you chopped off all your limbs and had a child, that child does not have an increased chance of being born without limbs AT ALL.

NOTHING can get written into your genes after you're born.

  • you could use this on a computer like just think "i want to play computer" and it goes on how awesome that would be :D

  • 3:05 - 3:16

    Ace Combat 3 anyone? lol

  • haaha but that game says that the person isn't conscience when controlling it. COFFIN systems make you one with the plane, not just controlling it. HAHHHA I love AC too much

  • we will become technopaths

  • USE THE FORCE, LUKE----

  • no kidding! this is just the beggining! the possibilities are virtually limitless. because, yes parody fan, eegs are for real.

  • there is a guy who made a wheelchair which works on a similar principle, you think about moving your left arm, you turn left

  • yea, its fake. of course the brain has electric in it, so they made some stupit magnet speaker tht when putting onr ur head and u think harder it will start turning. so its nothign special,

  • lololollololololol.

    Are you 7?

  • Comment removed

  • the eeg is sent to a micro processor in the base of the tube.. this activates the fan... you will see this soon with video games... controllers will be a thing of the past in a few years... your mind will control your video games

  • Its not the temples lol. They had some stuff on it on PBS, showing activity in the brain. Also nobody is squinting or anything to flex temples.

  • THIS IS WHERE IT ALL BEGINS =D

and im in that time : )

  • So true!

  • Bu the looks of it all it does is register the pressure in your temples to activate the fan. I doubt its anything to do with your brain. If it is, I'll be surprised.

  • no shit there's a fan, the fan is what levitates the ball; the brain waves control the fan.

  • Looks interesting, but I'll wait until the price goes down. (And having THIS on the computer doesn't cut it) *Concentrates on the biology of the chromosome* *Ball goes through roof*

  • That is freaking cool!

  • Where can I buy stock in this company?

  • wow if it was reall why would u need a fucking toy looking shit, there is a fan. lame

  • Your mind controls the fan. ('-_-)

  • theres a fan

  • Cute, but hardly new.. They had this for the pc about 12 years ago... (Minddrive)

You can get that on Ebay for like 20 bucks with a buncha games... ;)

  • I've seen other stuff like this applied to a gmod game where all you do is lift objects and move them around in the virtual environment. It took two people to lift a car.

  • I'd like to be able to control ping pong balls with my ass.

  • lol m4volio

  • This would be cool as a meditation/concentration focus meter, so that you can practice deep concentration while recording your progress.

  • Thats what I want!

  • the Japanese have something like this. Its a game with a ball and 2 people. The ball bounces toward the person who is concentrating less. So its kind of like a mind battle.

  • black geeza looks like the darpa cheif from mgs :D

  • LOL he does!!

  • How would you know that its your mind controling the ball? There are going to be so many fakes of this that just make a ball flote and it just says that its your mind

  • That was my first thought.

  • I Tried this at comic con!!!

my friend was good at it

  • She was looking away and it was still going.

  • That's because it was set on Easy (Padawan Learner). Don't you listen? This thing has difficulty levels.

  • they should rig this thing to work with halo 3 ,imagine ,making the perfect shot and no more sore thumbs,;-)

  • Then you would be removing the fun and skill required to play games

  • Comment removed

  • The idea was you controlling the fan turning on and off and the speed of the fan... dipshit..

  • Or they'll figure out how much of a dipshit you are.

  • No, it's legit and not that hard to make one yourself. However it is difficult to contol, but it gets easier with training.

  • You know that for an absolute fact, do you?

  • Biofeedback products have been around for decades now... good to see something that the public can access to learn to start controlling their thoughts. Positive or negative feedback... emptying the mind is good too (meditation).

  • should get the one for pc gaming

  • When the young lady wasn't even paying attention that ping ball was still spinning away unmoved. Need more proof than a ping ball blowing up a tube.

  • Buy a PC Gamer magazine sometime. I've already seen 2 reviews for these things for PC. DURR HURR HURR.

  • your really just a douchebag for saying that

  • It worked! For me, what worked best was thinking about a VERY rapidly spinning black hole and the ping-pong ball shot up thru the ceiling and left the solar system @ warp speed!

1 hour later Baby-Farks Mcgee showed up!

    This thing is sweet!

  • Hmm,using machines as proxy interface for the mind to interact with objects.Nothing new but quite interesting nonetheleast.

  • COOL! I can levitate a ping pong ball for $100!

    Awesome technology, poor utilization

  • How many times does he say mind over matter technology?!

  • Around three or four times that I heard.

  • bull shitt

  • okay this is a BS of an explanation, ur not levitating ur telling the fan how fastr to go, this is a piece of shit i mean its interestting but 100bucks for somwhting thats gonna get old fast... cmon

  • yeah kinda agree with that..

but to be fair, if the brain power can be harnessed, then what else can be stimulated by this thing..

he even says in this "the application is limitless" which shows theres room for further improvement with this which is interesting to say the least

  • "You are controlling that mechanism with your mind!"

Isn't that how you control any mechanism?

  • The whole time I'm watching this, all I can think is that I want to turn that thing into a bong.

  • haha, that is exactly what i thought when i saw the tube

  • My cat knows how to levitate ping pong balls

  • "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid."

  • "I find your lack of faith disturbing."

  • there are already much more advanced neural interfaces available as consumer electronics, google the "OCZMSNIA Neural Impulse Actuator"

  • boobies!!!

  • But can she do it with the blast shield down?

  • do it when you're fapping, and it would explode.

  • Really? Some guy from a toy company got a Washington Post writer to refer to the act of turning on fan hooked up to a plastic tube by thinking hard about literally anything as "levitating an object with your mind? That's not a miracle of science, that's a miracle of marketing.

  • Well, of course. Clearly, the toy has nothing to do with psionics. It's just a meter attached to an electronic control system.

How did you develop your ability, ThePsionicKid? How strong is it?

  • bill cosby

  • lol @ the black guy.

  • boobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DARPA wants mind-controled F-22's? They'll have to move the pilot out of the cockpit for that. I don't think any person could be trained so that their miond could transmit thoughts to a computer while the blood is rushing out of their heads in a hi-G turn. The human mind just can't handle so much stimulai (SP?) at once. Might as well make them AI controled. Plus by the time we have technology that's good enough for an F-22, we'll have moved on to another breed of fighter jet fr sure.

  • exactly, as it is they need advanced computers just to maintain the plane's balance. a human can't make those decisions and adjustments fast enough even if they weren't going through several g's.

  • Well duh, but this technology wouldn't give that kind of control to a human. The balance and other computer controlled parts of a plane would still be done by a computer. The only parts a human would gain control of are the ones they already have control of today, just changing the way of piloting it.

  • If the brain wasn't in a SKULL, maybe it could be designed with enough cushioning to take them Gs. But by then we'll have inertial damping, so it's a moot point.

  • Actually it's quite easy to provide alternate interfaces to a fly-by-wire system like that included in most modern fighter jets...whether it be joystick, brainwaves, AI, etc. It's already accepting controls in machine language anyway.

  • 89 bucks at newegg for the OCZ OCZMSNIA Neural Impulse Actuator google and learn what other technologies are already on the market... :)

  • Can we buy stock in this product?

  • Papo furado!!! A garota conversando, não está nem concentrada na porra da bola e ela danada girando dentro do tubo!! kkkkkkk...

  • Interesting... but nothing new. Read this book: The Holographic Universe (1991, by Michael Talbot, HarperCollins).

  • umm

  • very cool

  • Scary considering it's applications. But if we restrict its use to entertainment, medical, care, transportation, and anything but war, it is pretty cool.

  • i agree with you

  • just may be the prototype as the precursor to GOVERNMENT MIND CONTROL!

  • I believe it is.

  • cool
