That's bull their version sucks balls in every way possible. It lacks many things that it would need to make it not horrible, everything blows especially the vocals which sound like a dying camel being raped by a rhino who has an elephant stick up it's ass. I think they have some first hand experience with that situation, which is probably why their cover of such an awesome song sounds the way it does.

I don't really like PatD, however this is an awesome cover. Then again, while I respect them, I can't say I'm much of a Smashing Pumpkins fan anyway. I think PatD would be a great band if they just... did covers the whole time. Because IMO, they can't write their own music for shit.

This cover is amazing, pure and simple. I love Smashing Pumpkins, but PaTD does this song justice, and they do it well.

That's bull their version sucks balls in every way possible. It lacks many things that it would need to make it not horrible, everything blows especially the vocals which sound like a dying camel being raped by a rhino who has an elephant stick up it's ass. I think they have some first hand experience with that situation, which is probably why their cover of such an awesome song sounds the way it does.

I don't really like PatD, however this is an awesome cover. Then again, while I respect them, I can't say I'm much of a Smashing Pumpkins fan anyway. I think PatD would be a great band if they just... did covers the whole time. Because IMO, they can't write their own music for shit.

I would say that the smashing pumpkins original song is not even good. i mean the singer in that version only sing the song with so uninspired vocals.. doing a cover is taking someone others work and making it your own.
And i definitley think Panic at the disco really did that.

It doesn't matter how they did the cover. It's the fact that their version is completely shitty. Don't assume that I was judging on comparison to how the pumpkins' version in terms of lack of creativity making it their own.
Regarding my honest point, I was searching for the pumpkins music video of this song and found this cover. I clicked it because I was interested.

these guys did quite a sick job on this song....i love how they add their own styles to the songs they cover....if they did it just like the original itd be boring go listen to the original if you want that....i bet half of these people criticizing them can't do anything these guys can do up here they're so unique..... bottom line....panic is one of my favorite bands and they are fucking awesome.....great cover by a great band of a great song by a great band.....? haha

Panic! are an awesome band with stacks of talent. They've got amazing material of their own and aren't afraid to pay tribute to bands they admire by having a go at their songs, and making good work of it too. All you haters just think that by praising the classic established bands who originally recorded these songs and insulting the new kids coming up it makes you look like you know what you're talking about it. this song becuz its easy to play there isnt no
complicated guitar riffs like the rest of smashing pumpkins songs , XYU,soma,cherub rock, I wonder if panic at the disco can play

and not trying to hate on panic, i dont really listen to them but im not of the of the assholes that just hates on other bands, but idk this cover is questionable. i mean the singing is good but the words just come out as words to him and not a meaning, "that life can change,that you're not stuck in vain" he just kinda sings through it, which is ok i mean its not their song so i cant expect it to be the same. and idk the guitar just sounded rough.
