  • what is the difference between pekiti tisira and dekiti?

  • Very nice.

  • great

  • is all of dekiti's footwork that simple? looks great

  • yes, its' simple but it takes a while to master.

  • The movements and twirls were so fast and smooth it looks Magical. Real nice work.

  • fantastic style!

  • please add more dekiti video specially here in manila.tnx

  • respekt!

  • is there any Dekiti school or gym in manila? Salamat

  • I will try to find one nearest you. Whats your location?

  • is there any gym or school of Dekiti in Manila? salamat

  • is there any school of dekiti near manila?thank you

  • im training with grand tuhon this month, can't wait!!! this video was amazing.

  • Salamat po! --> Thank you very much!

  • ...this looks exactly like Pekiti Tirsia Kali

  • It may look similar, but they are different. The strategy and footwork is different. For example PTK do not believe in disarm, but DTS emphasis it.

  • uh, yeah... i take pekiti tirsia, and we love disarms

i feel like you don't really know what you're talking about

  • Aha, But I do know. About disarming, let me quote from the inteview of Leo Gaje by Jason Baird 2004.

What do you think about most disarming techniques?

That is fancy stuff. Introducing that sort of technique will get somebody killed. It is impossible. There is no such thing as defense. Knife vs. empty hands, will never work. Disarms and empty hands against the knife, these are Hollywood style techniques. It will never work.

  • I must admit, I am quite impressed with the demonstrations on these clips. Do you have any schools that teach these very techniques in New York City?

  • RE: look at the video section to the right, it says "Pekiti disarm"

  • But if you watch the video carefull particular at near the end, there was no disarm. The attacking guy is still holding the knife.

  • Hes really fast!!!!!!!

  • is the live blade being used a cutless or a native filippino weapon?

  • Yes there are 2 native filipino weapons used, the Talibong and the Ginungting.

  • Nice moves!

  • how's the footwork different from that in jeet kune do. is there a similarity? i heard a lot of jkd concepts come from kali.

  • Great Video!!

  • Very nice FMA!

  • I am hosting a training seminar this summer in Terre Haute IN. Anyone intrested in a few days of training w/ Nene go to fma talk under Dumoger. Not sure of pricing but my mother-in-law is cooking the food (PI).

  • I had the bounty of studying with Grand Master Tortal Sr, in Phillipines. He is a very gifted, kind and highly skilled individual. I recommend learning from him and his son.

I wish them all the best.

    Much love and respect:

  • Dear All, I am in the process of inviting Grandmaster Tortal Jr over to London, will only do this if I can get enough Students to make it worthwhile for him as there will be costs involved. I too have seen his video clip and am in the process of receiving his Instructional DVD soon. If there is any one out there who can recommand students to me then please let me know. • does Dekiti Tirsia Siradas follow the petiki tirsia triangle footwork?

  • No Dekiti Tirsia Siradas does not use (in fact they are against) PT's triangle footwork. They have their own foot work which is more combative and effective in real life situation.

  • im not a student of ptk or dts, but all i can say is Dekiti is ugly. i mean theyre like 50 years behind PTK when it comes to fighting technology.

  • If your not a student of PTK or DTS, then you don't know the both systems. How can you say one is better when have no basis to draw you conclusion?

  • your are so wrong buddy!! you never know the truth behind these two martail arts.. but let me inform you something.. dont you know that the grandmaster of pekiti was just taught by the grandmaster of dekiti? whether you believe or not, its true

  • how is the footwork more combative than the triangle footwork? Explain..

  • DTS footwork gets you out the line of attack quickly and places you in a position where you can safely do a counter-attack, disarm or throw.

  • Good Video!!! Thanks for Sharing. from Balintawak Eskrima...

  • You are most welcome!
