It may look similar, but they are different. The strategy and footwork is different. For example PTK do not believe in disarm, but DTS emphasis it.

Aha, But I do know. About disarming, let me quote from the inteview of Leo Gaje by Jason Baird 2004.

What do you think about most disarming techniques?

That is fancy stuff. Introducing that sort of technique will get somebody killed. It is impossible.There is no such thing as defense. Knife vs. empty hands, will never work. Disarms and empty hands against the knife, these are Hollywood style techniques. It will never work.

No Dekiti Tirsia Siradas does not use (in fact they are against) PT's triangle footwork. They have their own foot work which is more combative and effective in real life situation.

im not a student of ptk or dts, but all i can say is Dekiti is ugly. i mean theyre like 50 years behind PTK when it comes to fighting technology.
