Some one posted that Obama has falling approval numbers. If you are trying to do something that is going to happen. He is trying to reach out to people to gain their trust. I think in the next year or two we will know if he is trustworthy. One of the things that hung over him during the election was that he is an unknown quality. There was and still is a lot of misinformation floating around about this man . That makes it harder to make a judgment.

I did not vote for Obama. As far as I am concern the jury is still out on the Obama presidency. About the bank bail outs both conservative and liberal economist agreed that had to be done to stop Great Depression Number Two. W.Bush thought that this was needed and started the process rolling. Some of the other stuff done since then I wonder about. 2012 is a new day and I will access Obama then to see if he has won my vote.

Actually, there is a simpler solution. If you up your dose of haloperidol you won't see all those CIA plots to kill Obama with the intent of having FEMA suspend the Constitution and bring in eugenics programs in the guise of flu shots.
Instead, you'll just see a democratically elected president and his party trying to pass some bills designed to improve a sector of the economy that isn't functioning very well. Presidents have been doing that for centuries, and the world hasn't ended.

I think we had to use military force in October of 2001. But since Bush realized it was not going to be the easily defined military victory they wanted he pushed forward his plan to invade Iraq by presenting selective intel to Congress.
He figured an easy win there to drive up popularity.
As such we dropped the ball. We had them on the run and could have poured resources into the real fight. Economic relief through education and infrastructure.
IE what Charlie Wilson wanted.

Good idea, if used. The DoDIG was never proactive because his recommendations were as likely to be dismissed as those of complainants.
But another level of response is also needed. For questions deemed important by peers and by SECDEF and POTUS, this is fine... but, in every unit, there's always somebody who, "doesn't get the word." Second-level questions (whose answers SHOULD BE a matter of common knowledge), need to farmed out to ALL commands to answer for ALL servicemembers.

I apologize. A better way to ask the question might have been to ask whether there is some way to ensure that the soldiers won't be punished for their opinions (ie-anonymous questions) rather than to bias your comment by talking about soldiers being punished for disagreeing with the administration. That assumes retributions would only come from one source for only one type of opinion.

However with all due respect I think the Healthcare Town Hall meetings should be handled like President GW Bush did and use the "Presidential Advance Manual" which is a 103 page document on how to deal with demonstrators made from the Office of the Presidential Advance.
