It was how the media portrayed the country as a whole which ruined it and which is why we decided to travel there. I was born in Britain, lived and worked here all my life. I pay taxes and am a law abiding citizen, even done lots of charity work, never even had a parking ticket. But I cant even walk into a supermarket without people making generalisations about me and giving me dirty looks. Someone once said to me as a kid, this will never be your country so dont start thinking you're British. It took me a long time but I finally admitted I think he was right.

@glasfurd31 uh I went to Africa and Middle east with 2 of my white friends, and the locals were some of the nicest we met. It was how the media portrayed the country as a whole which ruined it and which is why we decided to travel there. Even though the only difference between us and them was pure chance, they treated us perfectly. So you won't see it in any country, maybe where you lived and visited. Next time don't generalize though, its just as bad.

In fact, one of my parents provided an education for thousands of your British children. You should research your own British history before drawing conclusions.
