This is one of those songs that when you listen to it, you feel highly inspired to do something that you'd never have done in a million years. This song is soothing and with such strong meaning. This is the kind of music that should be played on the radio.
@SergeantCuddles That verse is explaining how child soldiers were used in many conflicts, like in Africa, as well as South America. And it's showing how the child soldiers don't know who they are fighting, but they are forced to. And it shows how innocent they are, because they won't even have a chance to know who they are fighting, even if they kill their mother, they would not know.
@infernoman11 it's actually much worse than that. When they take children to become soldiers, a lot of times they force them to kill their own family members. They might blindfold them and make them pull the trigger or they might just threaten them until their will breaks and they do it. This world is so broken, it definitely needs help.
Heard this song through Jubilee Project's teaser "Back to Innocence" and I cannot stop listening to it - literally on repeat right now. Such an amazing song. Thanks for uploading :)
@Daughterork09 one of Tim and my friends from college went to went to work in South Africa at Sparrow Village, a home for children and adults suffering from HIV/AIDS that have been abandoned, abused, and neglected. She started a music program with the children there, and "Umoya Ungewele" was born out of that.
Hey I want to know what the music after "My heart is open but my hands are hiding, Afraid I'll feel you dying, I wish that I could touch your soul but I'm just another man, There's nothing I can do" It sounds like african music from a female. Do you have the lyrics for that part??
Fuck that bitch who disliked this amazing song. You're probably that fucking DEVIL who pays to have sex to children you bastard!! Die in HELL!!!! :PP

"He's only five; A child and a soldier
They will make him kill his people when he's older
And late at night he calls out for his mother
But he took her life"
Could someone clarify what that verse is referring to?

@SergeantCuddles I think it is also referring to the child soldiers used in Uganda. Look up the Invisible Children Foundation.
