Gerard being able to get through his drug/drinking problem just amazes me. it really gives me hope for people going through the same things he went through...Gerard Way is and always will be my number one role model.
it hurts me in the gut to see him like.. like that. no other way to describe it really. i still kinda cry for him. i remember my older sister crying about it when i was 7.i am so glad for him. i am sharing mcr through my family for ever and share the stories. their my life and i am soo glad he is good and sober and happy. i will always love them. no matter what shit happens.

I was 14 when I saw this video, and I'm 21 now it was something that I can say saved my life seeing him pull through all that really made me realise that it's possible.
hearing him say that music helped gerard get the encouragement to not kill himself and get sober. going through suicide thoughts are one of the most messed things you can think of. i know by experience, it isn't pretty at all.

the story of how gerard got over coke and got over his alcoholism saved my life... he is so strong , he is so powerful , this is why when i was in class, the teacher asked: who is your idol , my friend maya said justin bieber....when she went to me, I said Gerard Way because he is amazing, he is the strongest guy i have ever seen.
17 days is incredible. no rehab, 2 and a half weeks, being around booze every night at shows. this man is amazing. most people go to rehab for years and then relapse. its amazing how incredible this man is :)
I'm so proud of Gerard for overcoming his problem. It saddens me to see him like that and I don't know where I'd be today if he would've committed suicide. Mcr's music has helped me overcome depression and other things in life that I wouldn't have been able to handle on my own. For that I thank mcr and admire Gerard for breaking free of his problem -3

I just want to hug Gerard and tell him how much I love him and how much I'm proud of him,even though this is really old. He's done so well and come so far,he's saved so many lifes with his quotes. Including mine. Now look at him,he's a lead singer of a band,a loving dad and husband and is idolized by teens and adults everywhere <3
