I simply can't understand these "best tank in the world" videos.. It's ALL about the crew training. I bet you guys haven't heard about the Valley of Tears. Israel had out dated Centurions against whole Syrian armoured army. Old Centurions against much modern T-55's and T-62's. Israel simply kicked their asses, altough they suffered heavy casualties. Even T-55's had IR-systems for night operations. Centurions didn't. Even out dated tanks can knock out modern ones, when their crew knows what to do

All of them have their weak spots and advantages. Good crew training provides survivability. If T-90 gunner is faster than T-72 gunner, T-72 is history. And when T-72 gunner fires the main cannon first, T-90 will be a smoking wreck. Penetrating depends about the shooting angle and distance. Yes, angle even with APFSDS-T shells.

KSTAM (made by Diehl and a South Korean company) is using a EFP warhead (like Smart-155 from Diehl). There exist serveral kinds of armour made specially for protecting the roof of a tank. E.g. AMAP, one of the latest modern composite armours, has an extra component (AMAP-R) for roof protection. ERA and APS can also be used as extra roof armour.
Yeah but Russian tanks are still using Kontakt-5 which is vulerable to American M829A3...Kontakt-5 is only effective against M829A1....So makes me wonder if a M829A3 can pierce outdated armor why can't KSTAM which will be upgraded even further..?

To the part K-2 vs heavy armored tank: thats bullshit - a good APS can protect even against EFP, the Airburst of a MPAT round is also not very effective.

all of the world's modern tanks are evolved by german engineering, even the m1a1, t-90, and challenger ii are inspired by german tanks.
If you look at british/american/french tanks before ww2, and compare them to german tanks, they look totally different.
german tanks in ww2 were so advanced. Now, all modern tanks look similar to ww2 german tanks, not american,brit or french.
but still, k2 is a powerful tank

in fact, modern tank design essentially roots from german designs from ww2...of course they've advanced much farther than the panther now...but modern tanks look very similar to german ww2 tanks. British, french, and american ww2 tanks were notoriously inferior to german and russian armour of the time.

As i wrote you, the tank is a cooperation between Korea (Agency for Defense Development and Doosan), Germany (Kraus-Maffei Wegmann, MTU, Rheinmetall and Diehl BGT Defence) and France (GIAT Industries) and many of the parts are not developed by Korea :-)

As i rote you in the other video, the Russians not the singles, that has such defence systems. Examples are the Israeli Trophy and the German MUSS ... and the number of computers inside is nothing special. Today all modern tanks have such a mass on electronics inside ;-)

KSTAM (made by Diehl and a South Korean company) is using a EFP warhead (like Smart-155 from Diehl). There exist serveral kinds of armour made specially for protecting the roof of a tank. E.g. AMAP, one of the latest modern composite armours, has an extra component (AMAP-R) for roof protection. ERA and APS can also be used as extra roof armour.

Yeah but Russian tanks are still using Kontakt-5 which is vulerable to American M829A3...Kontakt-5 is only effective against M829A1....So makes me wonder if a M829A3 can pierce outdated armor why can't KSTAM which will be upgraded even further..?

The "self-sharpening" process is something most/every tungsten alloy has. The only question how much this process takes effect.
To the part K-2 vs heavy armored tank: thats bullshit - a good APS can protect even against EFP, the Airburst of a MPAT round is also not very effective.
"In future K-2 PIP will be equipped wih a E-c gun" -> very improbable, they are developed since the 80s without much new success. Electric armor is useless, if it has NERA.
Does the Hard-Kill-system use blast grenades?
