  • Totally adore this beautiful song. My vinyl copy crackles after playing it so many times.

  • Feelings so good...

  • I was waiting at the station, When your train came in, Wasn't you I was tiptoeing for, But you gave me a grin Felt my heart in my throat, Felt my soul going out to you, Could this be love at first sight? I just didn't know I just didn't know... Don't you feel insecure, All about your love for me? There's nothing I adore, More than a fake ugly day
  • Thanks to the person who directed me here from The Gist version...this is excellent to.....although much slower.....beautiful rich production....there's soooooooooooooooo much great music out there that so few people know about ...it's a crime....imagine someone coming on X Factor and coming out with this.....!

  • @blueplane23 hey if that happened i might start watching x factor again! :)

  • Fucking Love This Song!!! Its Insane!!!

    Love It To Bits!!!

  • i was a freak for their ep's, had such great songs that would not be on official albums, like this 1 ;D

  • OMG adored The original Gist version, but The Lush version is just simply divine....oh my heart is bleeding for my youth.

  • To make things a little more simple, you can also find this track on their "Caio! Best of ..." album, which is much easier to find than the Hypocrite EP, and a lot cheaper :).

    Beautiful cover.

  • sorry lovefingerss have to disagree the gist swingsand caputures the title better

  • I never heard this before until now, this is beautiful.

  • this is a cover of The Gist ...both are great tho.

  • its off the hypocrite single a b-side song on a maxi -cassette or cd with fou ror more songs what are some other wall of sound shoegazing bands ithink the stone roses were and felt chapterhouse, and blur?and charleton uk they had that song the one

  • absolutely love this band! thank you for taking the time to upload this song.

  • ah, Lush. I loved these guys at first, er, listen...

  • Haha! This comment made me smile because I thinking along the same lines :-) I love this song and I looooove them.

  • your welcome...in all honesty, this is my favorite shoegaze band, as they are the most consistent (in my opinion)...they rock!

  • Indeed they are... they've bred an entire new generation of musicians that pay much tribute to their stylistic approach. Everything from their soft vocals, enchanting beats, rumbling bass, and "lush" guitars!

  • which musicians would these be??

  • Its hard to consider really! I'm just making a reference sound wise, but there are some who admire them fairly well like Collide or Tearwave. It's not entirely the same, however. Nothing can ever be :)

  • well, no, of course not. But they're probably very good, and I need to be more well versed in shoegazing anyway...thanks!

  • hey no problem, and it's my favorite genre of music! i hope you enjoy finding out some more bands as well. catherine wheel had distinct guitaring... and umm... the cocteau twins were nice too ;)

  • Ah yes, Catharine Wheel...Ferment and chrome were some of their best work...as for the cocteau twins, I keep hearing about how Lush ripped them off or something stupid like that, but I haven't truly listened to 'em yet...

  • Hard to believe that someone would think Lush ripped off the Cocteau Twins. I've heard about everything from the Cocteau Twins and most of Lush's songs and I can't hear it.

Both bands are GREAT and unique and beautiful!!!!!!!

  • it was some itunes reviewer who said that...plus he said that lush wasn't as authentic as MBV or A.R.Kane....sounds like a purist to me...

  • @friendofamegaposer88

Robin Guthrie produced their Self Title & Spooky album so they had that "Cocteau Twins" sound of layered fuzzy guitars and they were very inspired by the "inaudible lyrics" style of Liz Fraser but they both sound very different. Haters will always say this person ripped that person off because they are lame. Many CT fans also enjoyed Lush and vice versa, it's ridiculous to say a band that has been around that long on original material "ripped" anyone off.

  • @uniqueedgings) agreed, true creativity is usually based on combining 2 or more preexisting thingsin an original way......so I guess by thier logic, the guy who invented post its ripped off paper and adhesives......

  • thanks, "Love At First Sight" from ep "hypocrite" May 30, 1994 , from album "split" June 14, 1994.best album.

  • Split is my fav, too. I love the "Desire Line" EP. Especially, White Wood and Girl's World. I hope someone upload those because those are some lost gems. Also, from that time period is Childcatcher on the All Virgos are Mad comp. It is way better than the version on Lovelife.

  • How did I found this one? Thanks a lot!
