Actually, to my understanding, Toronto would not budge from their offer of a two way contract (which I really don't get, since Toronto has lots of money), while the Rangers were offering a one way deal.

As a Ranger fan, I personally am skeptical of him. While he is a great story of going from walk-on to Hobey Baker winner, how many overage NCAA d-man have had NHL careers? The only two I can think of are Jeff Finger (who isnt that good) and Tom Priessing (who used to be good, not anymore)

well according to his sister, who i know, the main reason he signed with the rangers is because of drury, also a BU grad. being close to home was nice too, considering they apparently have a real tight family (one of 8 kids haha)

Yeah, I heard that too that Drury was a significant influence during an interview in playoffs. lucky you know a relative of a Hockey star. I know Kurt Warner through a friend and Barry Bonds' Brother. But not a hockey star... i got faith in him
