It's mostly that 'nn tss, nn tss, nn tss' crap. And rap isn't music; it's speaking in rhythm. Some of those guys are great poets, but none are great singers/musicians.

Just wish he would realize that waiting to release new music until it meets his standards of perfection may make it 'too late'. Sometimes you just have to seize the opportunity and run with it. In some interviews he said that they wrote some albums in 2 weeks. Get back with some of your best collaborators and DO IT! Don't start paralyzing yourself with self doubt, Steve!

This song got me through a slightly tough time at a miserable stinking awful people, abusive racist workplace just last year. In my mind and heart, I just replaced "town" with "job". It made the transition and descision feel right and sort of gave me the strength to leave that unhealthy environment. All with Steve's encouragement. Because he realized that Journey pre-Perry had no hits and almost no one outside the Bay Area knew who they were. He was able to put aside any differences he had with Perry and tell it like it was. If only Journey could do the same....

About 3/4 through this song Steve walks away and turns his back so Schon can have his solo, Schon steps out of his PLACE and goes center stage and when Steve comes back to resume the singing he nearly has to elbow Schon out of the way.......the jerk!

Mariet...It's so cool to see this footage. Steve is in prime form here, frozen in time doing amazing things with his voice. At this point in his career he was without peer and you can hear that complete freedom in his voice. He could do anything he felt like doing in the moment. Really beautiful and so rare in any singer.
