    How this didn't make no.1, I'll never know !

    RIP Les & Dave.

  • now thats you call music!

  • White's can dance!

  • This was a great group, Wow the timing was damn right, Les Gray with that batman cape, Well He was seen wearing it, In Never Too Young To Rock, But with Dave Mount Drums, Rod Davis Lead Guitar, and Ray Stiles Bass Guitar, They sure stood out, They were The Swinging Blue Jeans of the 70's

  • Les & Showaddywaddys Dave Bartram just had to do an eric with the sunglasses to have my family in stitches.Simpler times? No,Happy days & better music!! RIP Les.

Question .Does MUD stand for Maniacs Under Demolition or is DLT telling me porkies?!

  • I think you'll find Rob Davis wrote "Can't get you out of my head", which Kylie made a bit of a hit !

  • SECOND VERSE.

  • Brilliant

  • the best going i can't remember the rest of the group's name apart les but the curly haired 1 went on to produce Kylie minougies greatest hit

  • @jinty59 that's Rob Davis you're referring to. Kylie Minogue's biggest hit is actually "I Should Be So Lucky" from 1988 which was a small US hit, but it wasn't until 2000 that you guys finally cottoned onto her.

  • The height of sartorial good taste in 1974 !!

  • jus wanna tell ya............brill

  • Was Paul Da Vinci a relative?

  • Chinn & Chapman - writers for Mud, Sweet, Quatro......They nailed it.

  • Great song,great band,having fun,as it should be!

  • this great music is what made the 70's so great it was happy jiggy music you couldn't be mad when you heard it

  • great quality !!!!

  • what happened to the bass player

  • @shaftsbury94 Ray Stiles is still alive and well. :-)

  • Pelvis ?

  • I think Aaron wrote this one. he was the king. The king of Rock n'Roll

  • File under 70's crap - and absolutly love it!

  • I still wannabee Les Gray! RIP

  • Did Elvis ever learn he had a son rocking his way through Heath-era Britain?

  • The glam era was one of TOTP's most entertaining i think

  • Mud top of the Glam Rock Tree ..... thanks to Les and the boys ..... oh to turn the clock back

  • I played this to death when i bought it as a kid.great memories of a happy childhood.

  • Absolutely brilliant song!! I was only 9 years old when I heard this song, and still enjoy these songs today. The music of the 70s,80s, and most of the 90s is far superior to the stuff we have nowadays.

It was sad to hear of the death of Les Gray in 2004.

I just love the funny quick lines he says in this great song!! :D

  • I love Mud. My name is Lucy so I make myself very special! Thankyou Mud!! :)

  • Mud were such fun. My God, the 70's were brilliant.

  • as it 'appens - a bit of Saville n a bit of Les for Friday afternoon!! xxx

  • 2nd Verse.....bloody quality lads....

  • I'M GONNA LAUNCH YA SOON!!!!!!!! THANKS NYRAINBOW4.........FANTASTIC QUALITY.....BEST SONG EVER....LOVE LES.......xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • British rock and pop music didn't get more fun than Top of the Pops. This is my favourite Mud song - Les Gray's Elvis impersonation was brilliant, and it's pretty sad that he's no longer with us and even more so that Mud never made it as an international act - heck even the majority of American rock fans from the 70's have never heard of these guys.

  • Cant believe this only got 2 number 6....had number 1 written all over it i think!

  • Rocket, The Cat Crept In and L,L,Lucy are 3 top glam tunes from the ultimate glam group, MUD glorious MUD!

  • @MegaBergkamp10

Dont forget Lonely this Christmas !

  • Saw them live, Les was the best, the worlds a sadder place with out him, R.I.P.

    This a quality upload, mega.

Listen to the lyrics on the 2nd verse, great.

  • Totaly agree. Les had a great voice.

  • bloody quality mate, thanks...love MUD!

  • Thanks, this is the best quality upload of that video that I've seen on here. Great stuff.

  • As lame as so many of these popular English acts were, 1974 was a great year because bands were playing simple pop rock and roll again. I remember Greg Shaw and Mark Shipper writing about singles like Mud, stuff that American radio just wouldn't play,

  • Brilliant!! Thanks nyrainbow..

    R.I.P - Les Gray

  • Brilliant!! Thanks nyrainbow..

    R.I.P - Les Gray

  • i love this song

  • But the 'as it appens' bit was cut out from UK Gold, because the ident handed over to the flicking eye in 1993 and but now EinsFestival have shown it.
