The Melges is fast in light winds. The Farr 30 is faster in the heavy wind. Two boats not to compare + the Melges is twice the cost.

ya but there not sailing yet, y exert the effort to hike, which wears you out like no other, if your not even racing. I see the mumm and no one hiking, and yet there still moving and a good pace with just the jib
