@SBENTOS This isn't a accurate quote but USPS is quoting you about $117 for shipping and handling for the item. I used something that was similar size to get the quote.
Received my RQ-11 on Tuesday, 11-15-2011 missing rudder, vertical stabilizer, no instructions! I was told the parts would ship that Friday, then they said it would be 5 weeks - it's been 3 months and NO PARTS, NO RESPONSE AND CAN'T GET A REFUND!
I have over 10 hours of flight time on the real thing. The scale is a little off, but it looks just like the real deal. Add an ArduPlane autopilot, HD camera and FPV and you have a direct clone of the armys raven.
Hey, I am currently building this plane. Right now I am waiting for all of the parts to come in. I am documenting the entire build process at my blog johncm.com so stop by and check it out.
How long do you think you could increase the flight time by using a 5000 mah battery? I am thinking of getting this plane and using a small light weight camara but dont want a 5 minute run time.
Excellent. I have just flown mine for the first time yesterday in +17 degree weather. I am using the same setup as you. I love this plane. It flies very smartly. See my attached video. Thumbs up Tony. ~NightFlyyer~
I´m not from Dominican Republic ! I´m from Portugal in Europe and if your transporter does not respond to your needs just change for another one! I have buy from a US store this 72" wing Yak-54 and i haven´t pay as much as you are charching for this small one
I have to say that this is a fine plane but charging 127USD for Europe??? Are you gonna rent an airplane to send it to Portugal? its even offensive! That is why people even more go buy to China and Hong Kong the same airplanes and motors!
@RamosTTS RamosTTS! Thank you for the post! Our carriers for international orders are via USPS only, and right now, although the carriers do not ship to Dominican Republic yet, there are options such as having our orders shipped to a freight forwarder and then have it delivered to fans overseas.
@nitroplanes The carriers have been quite strict with their policies on not helping us ship over sized items because in the past, many over sized items arrived either 1.) damaged, 2.) lost 3.) never arrives to customers bc it gets held back in customs, which are definitely not a risk we would want our customers to take. We are working hard towards shipping our orders with other carriers right now, any updates we receive, we will definitely notify our fans as well!

Ok, I bit the bullet and placed my order last evening 12/15. Also posted this latest video on thread over on DIY Drones Forum, so the folks over there could follow what's going on as well. Hope it arrives in time to put under the tree.
Really impressive. But the problem is that whether it is stable enough for fpv platform and whether it is strong enough. I don't wanna waste my money on a easily-damaged plane. Hope to learn more about the RQ-11 uav.
Cutting open those four vent cut outs is a good first step. There'll be folks who want to add downlink video transmitters, as well as GPS sensors and auto-pilot systems. Cooling will be especially critical in those cases, as well sufficient room to mount downlink antennas, second batteries, etc.
That wing will rip off for sure if you don`t reinforce it or put two dowels in the fuselage and use rubber bands. You could put larger nylon bolts also . But I would not trust those two tiny screws to learn to fly.The rest of the plane looks very well made. Thanks for showing us Tony.
when you will have in supply inform to me thus effect the grateful purchase

Very cool.
Does anyone know of anyone taking this project and adding a movable transmitting camera on the bottom (in a clear protective bubble of course)?

you might want to opt for the nose vent. Video TX get insanely hot so you want airflow on those.
