This band has one skilled vocalist... It really fits with these low "grunt" style vocals, like Opeth or Swallow The Sun, in melodeath I think it works even better than "regular" growl. Awesome song!

Critical acclaim doesn't make a band 'better' than another. What makes any band 'better' than any other is personal taste. I love Opeth. I love Insomnium. I love Agalloch. I love Be'Lakor. In my opinion, they are all great bands that have a niche to sit in and create music that is truly their own. So, which band is better? They're all equally better than the others in their own right, and as such, equally inferior to the others in their own right.

There is a lot of amazing rap out there, it just takes a while to find as the crap always finds it's way to the surface in the same way it does in metal.

You're on crack if you think Insomnium is better than Opeth. I love both bands to death, but Opeth is definitely superior. Just look at their lyrics and acoustic guitar melodies. They also receive more critical acclaim.
Above the Weeping World was mind-boggling. Insomnium is one of the few bands that have a solid discography with no falters; but Opeth's Blackwater Park album tops anything Insomnium has released. It's not even a matter of preference. Just look at the sheet music for Blackwater Park and you will see what I'm talking about.
In Haggard is lot of musicians , in Opeth, Be'lakor 4-5 , is big difference ,but i love very much Be'lakor . By the way Opeth, Haggard, Insomnium are european bands, Be'lakor is australian band ,all the bands with their fans .

This is sounding really good! The Aussie's have put out some good music lately. The awesome melodic power metal band "Black Majesty", and now this amazing Melodic Death metal band. I'm without a doubt going to look up more of Be'lakor:)

If you prefer the softer stuff try Insomnium, it might be something you like as well. The song Lair of Purity by Augury is something you might like, too, but I doubt you'd like the rest of their stuff. Still, check it out you may enjoy it.

If you prefer the softer stuff try Insomnium, it might be something you like as well. The song Lair of Purity by Augury is something you might like, too, but I doubt you'd like the rest of their stuff. Still, check it out you may enjoy it.

If you want feeling and atmosphere, listen to Insomnium. To be completely fair I think this "Be'lakor" might actually be on to something: they just need to try alittle harder.
But I think Insomnium might be what your looking for. There most atmospheric album that stays true to it's MDM roots is Above the Weeping World. You should listen to the following songs

Ill-Starred Son
Disengagement
The Halls of Awaiting (song not album)
In the Groves of Death

@GTASbo0mst1ck Only thing tho....there is no such thing as Mallcore...so your arguement just died there :) They are good metalcore and Nu-Metal bands that do have lyrics that at NOT teen angst or about love. Granted both genres are overcrowded with mediocre bands but there are diamonds in the rough. Dont pigeon hole a whole subgenre of metal.
