  • One word:

    Awesome...

  • Such a beautiful waltz...

  • Fucking beautiful, my good sir!

  • my first comment, living in Iceland, walking when its is snowing heavily listening to this on my ipod is nothing short of majestic, this gives warmth to my heart every time I listen to this, Jari is nothing short of a musical genius, and of course the honour goes to Tillsilance for the remix good job man!

  • only mozart would be able of something like this

  • OH MY GOD!!!!!! O_0

    SO SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

  • I wanna sleep in the stars, great job on this!

  • @Tillsilence

first of all thanks for the information

few days ago I went on with my project and also found out that choirs are very useful to make melodies sound cold. I also use "crotals" or "triangels" to give it some winter-feeling... maybe you should try to put in one of these; sounds like icicles.

now I know how to make it sound cold

    thanks for the information

    cheers

  • I'm sorry for my terrible english...

so I hope you can understand what I asked in my last comment:

how did you make it sound cold?!

so cold as the snow falling from the sky when the WintersuN shines!

  • @iBAMi777 hey, I thought I sent you a pm with it. Anyhow the choiry background is a soundfont that i can send you if you pm me with your email, then there is harp playing some chords over it. Cold feeling comes from the notes and chords of maestro Jari.

  • what instruments did you use to make it sound cold (1.15 - 1.30) ???

I got the same program (miroslav philharmonic) and i want to make some cold orchestral music

    please tell me :)

  • awesome dude nice job

  • Great job man, I just love this video

  • ah very beautiful my friend

  • Mixing the real track with that one sounds really good. You should try to give some songs an orchestral 'featuring', without trying to sound like the original track. That would sure make some tracks outta here even more awesome and pumpish x). Good job, dude.

  • wow so cool

  • This is glorious, Good job dude !!!

  • This is actually a greaty track to jam to O.o Thanks a lot man!

  • hey having trouble finding the mp3 download of this, can you point me in the right direction?? thanks!

  • I thought this was great, then I saw your comment about getting away from the world by listening to Moonsorrow. You've earned some serious kudos man.

  • Tillsilence u made a geat work

  • This is beautiful. It's amazing how there are so many musical geniuses (or atleast remixers) and yet they go completely unnoticed in society, where they should be reveered and appreciated. *One person Applause*

  • the original already sounds symphonic, so of course it's gonna sound great :D

  • I love when the female vox and the harp come in during the bridge

  • I liked it!

    Congratulations!

  • Still one cover can make a big headbanger metallist cry... This is amazing..

  • I should play this at while playing the original at the same time..

  • Excellent, amazing job

  • my favorite symphonic cover

  • wow

    i like it:D

    and it sounds fantastic!!!

but i think winter madness is better!!!

but sleeping stars is also great:D

  • beautiful

    but it's made with gp5, isn't it???

  • It's not. It is made with a recording software REAPER, analogous to cubase or pro tools, and with Miroslav Philharmonik virtual instrument.

  • I dont care , in my opinion, Jari Mäenpää is the best heavy metal composer of our time

  • HEAVY Metal??!!!

  • @pedrocapiroca1 heavy metal? loled, dont call it folk metal, dont call it melodic death metal, dont call it any shit.

Call it epic metal or Jari Metal

  • @pedrocapiroca1 Of our 'time', hehe :p

  • It's nice, but my favourite part is 'ruined'. Heh, don't take it badly, but that 'please stay with me for a while' -parts' chords... :F

  • yes the gratest....

  • The greatest band in this planet!

  • @Senten92 Not just planet. The greatest band in all of the universe, and especially, the sleeping stars.

  • @EraOfBloodtv

The best band in all of the endless dimensions. The Wintersun album was literally destroying the walls of time.

    ;-)

  • Sure is beautiful : 3

But I still prefer the original, regardless that they´re both awesome^^

  • me too, in no way I am trying to repeat or bypass the glory of the original song.

  • @MauserKnight Have both playing at once, it's awesome.

  • :'( so beautifull

    Great job dude

  • haha this is perfect. my family hates when i play music like wintersun cuz they say it sounds ugly and evil. now i can play this and be all 'yeah, this is by a metal band'

  • I know what you mean. But, if you listen close enough, you can hear this expertise in the original as well. A lot of people don't understand how though, it's kinda sad. :(

  • It is true. I am just accentuating the atmosphere present in the actual song. Many people can't get through distorted guitars and growls to really see the beauty of a song... And this one is one of the most beautiful and emotional I know of.

  • Have you heard Amon Amarth's "Embrace of the Endless Ocean" ? It's not as technical as Jari's stuff, but it's a great song in my opinion. It'd be great fun to learn more about music like this in school, rather than math and science, english and history, etc. I think if kids could realize that you can listen music with emotion, they'd completely forget about what's "cool" and a lot of problems would be eliminated.

  • I'll definitely check it out... I have yet to let amon amarth grow on me.

Actually I think there is a great side to the general education that you get in school. Even if you might hate homework and exams, who knows, you might just one day discover your interest in a science like chemisty or astrology or history. I myself think of music as a side hobby, I don't expect myself becoming a professional musician. But surely when I want to get away from the world I put some moonsorrow on.

  • very wise words dude!

  • Yeah, fuck actually learning useful things and lets just sit in school and listen to Wintersun

  • wintersun is most useful.

  • @dujfraz I know what you mean. Like when my dad hears someone growl 1 word he's immediatly like:

hey, is that guy pissed off again??? (he says it every single time ><)

Makes me wanna turn it so loud I can hear nothing else!

  • Beautifully mastered!

  • I get a winter feeling from this version. fucken awesome

  • from where do u get the notes of these songs?

  • guitar pro 5 tablature

  • OH MY GOD!! *chills*

  • Really nice Dude ! Do you Got Mp3 for this song ?

  • yeah, check the channel, I posted links to mp3s there

  • Thank you! I have actually listened to it already, 6/5 stars to it!

  • I love it!! how did you make this? it sounds so awesome!

  • Thanks! I did the basic arrangement in guitar pro. After that I used a VST orchestra sample package and synth fonts in a recording software.

  • please tell me the name of the VST. i have fruity loops, can i use that vst with fl?
