I saw the Black Ivory greatest hits cd in Fry's electronics back in 2005. Before then, I've never heard of the group. I said to myself, these cats with these big afros gotta be singing about something. So I bought the cd. I popped the cd in the car, and I was hooked. Music is awesome.
Growing up during this time, I took the music and era for granted. I was always in such a hurry to be grown and on my own. Now that I'm up in age, living in this time period and listening to this song, it makes me a little sad I did not cherish those times and music more.
A most beautiful song of which I wasn't aware until now. Don't know why I don't remember it since I've always been a Black Ivory fan. They certainly were underrated but it's good to know they're still performing and sound as good as ever.
This is music!! From the instruments to the lead and background vocals. I really miss those days. I should have taken better care of my music. I know you can find the music, but nothing like having the album cover to go along with it. Love the Post!!
you really have to have the lps(vynyl) of this group..to know how good they come across.. the re- releases are somewhat bright with less warmth..still a great listen from a very underated group..they actually have great oringinal material.....check em out..
He killed this, I found this sample, and i was like "i wanna try this." Then when i actually tried, i was like BM killed this.. im not even gonna ruin it..
yeah i was fuckin with this sample, i chopped the loop into 16 and the fourth chop, with the word "change" i was like...hitting it over and over and thinking "wtf. DAMN what is that from?". i thought it was 9th so i was goin through all my 9th tracks getting frustrated, and then i came on here and you saved my life. ahah. its BLACK MILK. goddamn it. ah well. im still gonna flip the sample. try it different. i mean why not?
it would be a crime, for me not to comment on how much there albums touched me.. Patrick Adams, Leroy Burgess Stuart Bascombe, Russell Patterson and all the musicians..yaw are part of something thats very, very special....
I didn't know that they made this song...My cousin would play this song all the time & I never ask her who made it till I seen it on u tube....HEY SISTER U R THE BEST I MUST SAY I LOVE U LOVE112489 PLEASE KEEP SEARCHING 4 MORE OF THERE SONGS THERE R MORE PLEASE...........
