Pure and simple, the Coyotes are the team with its franchise roots in Winnipeg.

It only makes sense for them to return to Winnipeg for an exhibition, or even a neutral-site, game.

They were pleased with the success of last year's contest with Edmonton, as far as the response was concerned. So they probably like returning to Winnipeg from a PR perspective.

That game sold out within a week or two i believe. Mostly a few thousand tickets left after the first 3 days. This years Exhibition game will sell out as equally well for the fact the Leafs are playing the Yotes now.
