@MeAparr57 thats because fwd drive are naturally inefficent when it comes to racing. first weight transfer on take off goes to the rear lifting the needed weight off the traction tires. hence even dedicated fwd drag cars i dont beleive have gone faster than 7 secs in the quarter. And for road racing the front tires are responsible for like 80% of your braking as well as your steering and your acceleration. rubber only has so much traction available. split between accel decel & turn.

The reason the teg lost is cuz the vette has a better drivetrain, it's putting the power the right wheels(RWD), and it's almost as light as the integra. Did y'all Honda boys actually think the teg had a chance K20/24 or not, big or small turbo?.....I'm not even a vette fan and I know this.

It has to do with the driveline configuration, and if you really believe a 2.4 Liter Inline 4 with a GT40R strapped on has no torque, then really you shouldn't be an enthusiast. The Teg had no traction for the first 50 feet, if it had it would likely have been even with the Vette or ahead.
