@ksam1234562003 You can find multiple translations of the Qur'an online. I try to read only Muslim translations (Shakir, Yusuf Ali). These do NOT contain the modern alterations.
There are certain words that give the game away. For instance, in the newer English translations, when talking about the sun and the moon, the word "orbit" has been used to replace the word "swim". In sura 51:47, they try to make it sound like the big bang by swapping "expanding" for "ample" or "vastness".

Just want to clarify things, Islam doesn't require you to change your name (unless it has a bad meaning), and shahada doesn't have to be in public or in front of a witness.. The message of Allah is clear: He is but one God, the creator of all taking no partners nor offspring. Do not confuse people's short-comings with the message. The Quran is not a book of science, but contains references to miracles of creation as proof for all ages and time - just as you would support your arguments. As more advancements continue and knowledge is revealed, further understanding of what is in the Quran comes to light. What you do with that knowledge is your burden and responsibility. Don't just attack that which you do not know out of ignorance or stubbornness.

The ancient Greeks (whose civilization came up way before Islam) had the most developed civilization from their time. They had the philosophers, scientists, artisans, etc. and in turn, Greeks also got their ideas from older civilizations. SO, each society got their ideas from each other and made it better. Those Arabic scientists got their ideas from those people way before them.
@OrlyDudeGuy All the things they teach in the schools and universities are knowledge which people from the past picked up. The teachers teach them to students and every once in a while, an emerging number of scientists, scholars, and intellectuals appear all of the sudden and come up with new concepts, ideas, theories that will be passed on. For example there was Newton from the 17th century and then a series of scientists showed up and then there was Einstein and it'll keep going on.

@ksam1234562003 You can find multiple translations of the Qur'an online. I try to read only Muslim translations (Shakir, Yusuf Ali). These do NOT contain the modern alterations.
There are certain words that give the game away. For instance, in the newer English translations, when talking about the sun and the moon, the word "orbit" has been used to replace the word "swim". In sura 51:47, they try to make it sound like the big bang by swapping "expanding" for "ample" or "vastness".

In Quran, wajada وجد (found) has multiple meanings, among them is "to see" or "saw", as the Verses, below, clearly and indisputably reveal. Wajada وجد here means that the sun disappeared from Dhul-Qarnayn's naked eye, especially since the neighborhood was mountainous (18:93). As Dhul-Qarnayn was looking at the sun, he saw it disappearing inside or behind a murky /pond/lake/sea of dark/murky water.

The Quran is not a book of science, but contains references to miracles of creation as proof for all ages and time - just as you would support your arguments. As more advancements continue and knowledge is revealed, further understanding of what is in the Quran comes to light. What you do with that knowledge is your burden and responsibility. Ignorance of history is mind blowing. Haven't you heard of scientist like Ibn Sina and Al Hassan Ibn El Haytham? Much of the science that developed in Europe was a direct result of Muslim Scientists especially in the fields of Mathematics, Medicine and physical sciences (even the word Algebra is from Arabic - look it up). But, this is irrelevant as is whether other scientist became muslims due to their discoveries. Knowing cigarettes can kill you doesn't by default make you stop smoking.

The ancient Greeks (whose civilization came up way before Islam) had the most developed civilization from their time. They had the philosophers, scientists, artisans, etc. and in turn, Greeks also got their ideas from older civilizations. SO, each society got their ideas from each other and made it better. Those Arabic scientists got their ideas from those people way before them.

The teachers teach them to students and every once in a while, an emerging number of scientists, scholars, and intellectuals appear all of the sudden and come up with new concepts, ideas, theories that will be passed on. For example there was Newton from the 17th century and then a series of scientists showed up and then there was Einstein and it'll keep going on.
