Disney is the one major company that makes more movies about girls than guys, and they still have Tarzan, Treasure Planet, Hunchback, etc. Meanwhile, Pixar, who while awesome, is only coming out with their first female lead movie /next year/. We need these princess movies. Badly.

@nimechan I get what you're saying but what I meant was a prince with Rapunzel's persona and a girl with Flynn's would be breaking the gender stereotypes Disney is always using. A semi-girly guy and a female theif would be very different from what Disney usually does and I would love to see it.

I love princess movies and I love Tangled but I want to see a female hero rescuing a prince for once.

@JediKiki Tangled is a little like that. Rapunzel's the adventurous one while Flynn is a little more passive. Princess and the Frog has Tiana saving the Prince. And the best example, of course, is Mulan, who donned male armor and saved Shang's ass twice, plus the whole Chinese empire. But I understand disliking the gender stereotype status quo. I just wouldn't like Disney to stop focusing on female protagonists, whether they swing a sword or wait in a tower.
