what exactly was a r100/7 ? particularly what does the "/7" nomenclature designate i apologize for what may seem to a be a silly question but I am have just lately discovered the beauty with in these master pieces
as a BMW P/D rider and owner since 1986 I have to say - all beemers sound like air compressors! - only a guzzi makes the best noise. (My other bike) - but then it's italian.
I tried to post before , I was trying to do my beemer like a cafe bike but now you've almost got me wanting to do a scrambler style. What did you do for a speedo, I hate the factory guages and want to minimal mine like you did, what did you you use and how hard was it to change?
Very well thought out. Pretty much my plan for a future R80ST. Is that a custom license plate holder?

Fantastic, Nice Build!
Love how the efficient flat twin 'tick' turns into an attention grabbing snarl.
Hope it brings you many more years of riding pleasure.

That's hilarious - wind it up and it snarls like an angry beast, then returns to a pedestrian flat twin idle. Cool bike

@NonFerrousBueller Agreed. I like the quiet idle and the roar.
