i like google earth but it lacks 3d elements unlike earthscape...google earth is also outdated if notice the date of images at bottom it says 2005 i believe but only the app itself is updated...also i know its outdated because of fact the area i live in there are streets that have been put and it dont show the streets or the new buildings at all

It looks like Google Earth, but there are some important differences. The main one is that you can take a picture with Earthscape and it will immediately be available for everyone to see and comment on. (Google Earth uses only the panoramio database & you can't leave comments.) Earthscape also allows you to control what you see - you can set it to view (for example) just bridges, or just new pictures, or just your own photos. We also show picture previews, so you don't have to click blindly.

It comes with some imagery built-in, but to work best it needs to access our servers via the internet. Once it does that, it'll keep it in memory, so if you're off-line you can visit places you've seen before (when you were on-line).
