I have been fortunate enough to see Ms. Armatrading in concert twice, I always came away with the feeling that I just had the privelege of hearing one of the worlds best singer/songwriters.....this song is my favourite of hers....

I have always liked Joan, but a few years ago I bought her greatest hits double album on CD for a road trip from the UK to the south of Spain it took me 3 days, and I listened to it several times over, during that trip I felt as if I had got to know her personally, I know it might sound a bit stupid but I cannot think of a single artist past or present that puts more emotion or feeling into their work, listening to Joan is like reading her autobiography.
