I was at this show - On Stage With Danny Street - It took place in the MacRobert Centre in Stirling University around 1973. I was about 7 and this performance blew me away. I met Chick afterwards and he put the famous bunnet on my heid!
I saw Chic many times, and he was quite the funniest man I have ever seen. Standing behind his wife Maidie, at the opening of the act, he towered over her, as she stood behind a huge (for her ) accordeon, she looked back and up at him lovingly, and he pulled the funniest of faces., He sang with her, and was an accomplished yodeller. `China Doll` was one of his regular number, Add this to his sense of humour, He must have been the only man, whose mourners left his funeral laughing!, ,
