@TECpeds94 There were at least five clips in this compilation which included fatalities. I know for a fact the clip at 0:43 ended with five fatalities, of which four were from the same family (the car which was squashed between the trucks).

Most of these crashes were caused by stupidity on the part of the truck drivers. They were either driving too fast or driving tired.

@karadan100 when u have to drive 16 hours a day just to maintain a 40k/yr paycheck obviously you're going to be tired. and incase you've never driven a truck, which you obviously havent, almost all of those problems arose from the trucks stalling out, slipping in rain, or being topheavy (company mistake not driver). so next time you choose to accuse someone of stupidity learn the truth behind situations.

@pizzamom555 Actually, i know what i'm talking about from my crash investigation days. You wouldn't believe the amount of temp contract drivers who get given trucks containing top heavy loads (hanging meat for instance) but have no experience driving such loads. Most of the truck crashes i investigated stemmed from drivers driving too close to another truck in front or driving too fast.

We had to study lots of crash footage and the above ones came up a lot. I know what i'm talking about.

@pizzamom555 Also, there are strict regulations governing how long a truck can be driven for in one sitting. It is up to the driver to stay responsible and not have stupidly late nights or drive past their hours. The rules are in place for a damn good reason because if you fall asleep at the wheel of a 15 tonne load, you are going to kill people - as we saw so catastrophically in the above clips. Break those rules and you should be punished.

So yeah, that should answer your question.
