I've had a 3G now for 3 years and it's still going strong! Who cares about speed and display... It's a bloody phone!

Definitely would say that I'd never buy another iPhone.. Too expensive and just isn't worth it. I think it'll be a £30 nokia next time for sure!

the 3g is not that slow and btw the 3g is alot stonger then the 4 because the 4 is mostly all glass like i dropped my iphone 3g and the back snapped off cause it was plastic but that was really cheap to replace and if it was a iphone 4 it would not be cheap to replace because it is glass and the 3g is way cheaper, i picked mine up for $230 as the 4 is like still $500 or somthing

Something is wrong with your 3G it's not that slow, i have compared to my own 3G and it's your's is much slower than my! Btw, this was the first app launch on your 3G maps app, it takes a lot morr time at first launch! Also, if you compare, compare it to the 3g on 3.xx or so, this software fit's more to the 3G and it doesn't even run the telephone app in the background!

iPad 1 - 900MHz (underclocked from 1GHz)

Every store I've asked has said Apple told them to prepare for the next iPhone launch in October; one Verizon Wireless store said, "Expect preorders in very late September."

I would like to see someone release a Jailbreak with true overclocking. Extreme overclocking to 1.7GHz :D

While the 3g has a 3.0 megapixels on the back. the iphone 4 has video recording while the 3g doesn't have. also iphone 4 has auto focus also a flash. and 4x the display of the 3g and app switching. hope this helped

I think the speed is also effected depending on the iOS you have, according to my "tests". My 3G was uber-sluggish when I updated it to iOS 4. I downgraded back to firmware 3.1.3 to keep it usable! I assume they both have iOS 4 here?
