That blond yoga instructor has got to be kidding. Yoga will never be considered a martial art. The word "martial" mean war. Thus martial arts can be interpreted as war arts, combat arts, fighting arts.

Yoga is a very good form of exercise and can be very beneficial to athletes and non but it is by no means a martial art or martial sport.
