The way it was in AIC before, Jerry Cantrell wrote all the best songs, nutshell, would, rooster, down in a hole, them bones etc (all by Jerry), then Layne sang Jerrys songs, damn good. So jerry was the writer and layne was the executor. amazing chemistry, listen to that god damn harmony between their voices.

In my honest opinion, alice in chains and soundgarden were the kings of grunge, nirvana and pearl jam were good, but not as good as aic and sg. just anopinion tho
