  • Organized Crime in Charge of EU Carbon Trade, Europol Says

  • where can you find the latest prices of carbon credits

  • Try this on for size, please watch all this and open up your eyes

    Info Wars Nightly News 2011 12 09 - December 9th 2011 Alex Jones

  • It's amazing how many of you are attacking this scheme without any understanding of how it works. An ETS is the most cost effective way of reducing emissions in the longer run. There is little peer-reviewed literature that does not recognise such a scheme as the most cost effective period

  • @MisterJohnQPublic: All you need to do is follow Lenin's advice and look to who benefits from denying climate change. If we can the science behind climate change aside and simply look to who benefits from denying climate change, the answer is largely big business and to a much lesser extent people who are afraid to lose their lifestyle as it is. It is simple psychology ("The missing hero trap"), people are much more inclined to avoid loss in the short term than to foster a gain in the long term.

  • The companies will no doubt pass the cost of Emissions Credit down to the everyday people. Few example : heating a house, driving a car or even smoking a cigar. It will comes in the form of EC taxes. This Emissions Credit will make the cost of living go up.

  • This is a scam. Frist the EU will impose emissions trading scheme on large corporations. Pay to pollute. So a company can pollute as much as they want...as long the Co. buys the emissions credit, so therefore it make it looks like the Co isn`t polluting because the Emissions Credit offset the acutal emissions. The companies can buy or trade emissions credit. Second, and eventually, it will trickle down to the drivers. Not only do you need to buy a car and gas (petrol). You will need to buy EC.

  • @0ct0ct09 haha wow you have no clue about what your saying

yes it will cost large corporations to pollute, however if the EU prices

carbon a 'realistic price' it will force corporations to

become more efficient and decrease emissions or wither and die. Only so

many permits will be released by the EU to force this to happen (too many permits

    will not decrease emissions)

Yes it will trickle down to individuals, this is unavoidable in any scheme

if you want to stop global warming

  • Yes, pay me to pollute....???? Cough cough..or just send it to China where i have also invested...Ahhem...meanwhile maybe build some wind stations which i have also invested in which the electricity is sold at a premium, where i also have invested... look i can now control the major companies of the world by tweaking this scheme and you and make a fortune all for the enviroment of course.. you should be thanking me!!!

  • can't wait for the 'united states of europe' there followed by 'the united states of earth'

This sort of crap should be put where it belongs, down the toilet. You don't have to be a 10th grader to figure out that 200 parts / 10,000,000 atmosphere content increased to 208 parts is going to change world climate. Sick and tired of hearing

'consensus' and not 'impirical data'. Ever heard E.D. used by Penny Wong, Greg Combet, Julia Gizzard, or Bob Brown ?? You never will either

  • So tell me what produces more Carbon Dioxide ........ refining all Australian Iron Ore using Australian Coal in Australia or shipping all Australian Iron Ore and Australian Coal to Asia to have the ore refined. It is the later because you reduce CO2 generated during transportion. So all the "Carbon Tax" is doing is making it uneconomical to refine Australian Minerals in Australia which would produce Global CO2 Emissions. Labor is pathetic and only the ignorant vote Labor!!!!

  • What a masterful and brilliant scam this cap and tax system is. The American people aren't buying into it thought and either is most of the rest of the world. I guess the Europeans are gullible, as a group.

  • When there's a guy in a suit standing outside a huge factory belching out smoke saying "We approached the government and asked (told) them to create this programme so that we could make even more money from taxpayers." You have to be pretty daft to think this isn't the mother of all rackets.

  • @beno7398: They couldnt figure their way out of a paper bag to save their lives...

  • No one believes in this global warming bullshit except whackos.

  • @getyoid But the global temperature IS increasing.

  • Shove your Carbon tax!

  • CO2 is life - green plants take all the CO2 they can get. No increase in global CO2: data Harvard

  • What a scam. Governments and other people are making millions off the Co2 emissions and climate change scheme.

IT used to be called global warming? Now its Climate change? They must of figured out the Global warming scam didn't apply to everywhere.

  • @beno7398 The global temperature is increasing.

  • @jamstumpy

    Apparently.

It's always increasing and decreasing. Look at the past and it proves that.

We may be on a warming period now, but eventually it will cool again.

  • @beno7398 Yes that it true. Wether the human race will still be here is a different matter.

  • Soon, you'll be fined for farting and breathing out beyond an assigned quota... Those who can't pay will no doubt be 'biodegraded'.. using a carbon-neutral process, of course...

Go on, be a mindless drone, act on CO2 now: help your fellow man, stop breathing today!

  • @umaralansari Very true, the easiest and quickest way of reducing carbon emmissions would be to reduce the population of the world massively.

  • @jamstumpy I do hope you were joking... ;)

  • @umaralansari Nope ^^.

  • the brittish nanny state will believe any damn scam the govt gives them

  • 100 pieces of gold for each of their lying, scheming heads.

  • What a bunch of fucking assholes. A scam the bernie maddoff would love.

  • Carbon Credits are at 1 Euro now... Since there was a loophole in the EU Carbon Credits - it has flooded the Chicago Climate Exchange... So carbons that were $7-$8 is now about $1-$1.40 a Carbon Credit.... So Carbon Credits are generally not feasible.. Industry gets Carbon Futures on the cheap and are laughing with their wallets getting bigger.

  • I took a science class in 1974 and learned that the REAL threat is called Nuclear Winter. So, if it warms up too much, and you need to cool down, all you have to do is blow up some nuclear warheads in the desert, and there you go, problem solved. Nobody wants to talk about this because it is not politically correct to talk about blowing up nukes for the sake of the planet.

  • This scheme is perhaps the biggest hoax ever pulled off by any individual, government, , banksters and more than likely a combination of all to rip wealth from citizens worldwide.

These fraudesters who dreamed up this scam through grant inspired scientists producing fake statistics should be exposed, tried and locked up for a very long time to reflect on their greedy manipulation.

  • Dr Miskolczi showed that the solution to a differential equation for the greenhouse effect developed in 1922 by Arthur Milne, wrongly assumed an infinitely thick atmosphere. In re-solving this equation a new term and also a new law of physics have been proposed setting an upper limit to the greenhouse effect. Dr Miskolczis theory indicates that any warming from elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide will eventually be offset by a change in atmospheric moisture content

  • ETS seems like a big tax grab for me. cos it fails to address our energy needs. Instead of not only taxing heavy pollutor why cant UN rally resource of the world d oserious research into zero emission technologies; power generations. Surely we cant be that hopless. But it seems the gas company has gotten hold of our political systems making it unable or unwilling to go there cos it wouldnt please the gas company. to make ETS credible both sides of the coin must be tackled

  • Putting a Price on Carbon

    perhaps has surrogate pricing:

    x.carbon.credits x 14 = y.Euros

this week including: Dec 16, 2009

Smartphone apps. can contribute to carbon capture/reduction.

Will they get carbon credits from topic authorities?

    How apply/nominate?

    ...for example outline at

    tinyUrl's 'copenhagen-chatter' or yer6gpp

  • Global Warming = Global Frauding

  • Carbon trading is a huge scam to make profits for traders (e.g. Goldman Sachs). It has not reduced emissions at all.

  • companies have to pay for carbon.... So the price goes up... insurance companies have been doing this for years i dont get how this is going to work.

  • Comment removed

  • it sucks this week this became law in my country new zealand but only the tax payer pays its bs

  • great! We welcome NZ to the coalition of the willing

  • Brought to you by Climategate: a) data manipulation b) subversion of the peer review process c) intimidation of science journal editors d) persecution of skeptics e) revelations of a non-consensus internal to CRU models and data f) stacking the UN IPCC g) millions of dollars of grant money at stake h) destruction of data i) obstruction of the freedom of information act j) unprofessional conduct Climate Science - the new Ponzi scheme!
  • @MisterJohnQPublic

    Very well said !

May I quote you on that ?

It is a comprehensive list of the fraud we're experiencing.

    thanks,

    Andy

  • Carbon con = Global fraud

  • check out/search 'climate chains'

    on youtube.

It is a compelling take on the cap and trade scam

  • I have one question how do you make companies change that dont want too??? It s a tax :( but how do we bring out new technologies??? trust me the have over unity devices that have no emissions. Disclosure project. Free energy!

  • @IRepairLaptops That doesn't change them. They just charge more for their services to the client like Duke Energy is starting to do now. I've got the bills to prove it.

They then buy carbon credits and just keep going on. Require them to reduce their production, then they must raise the rates because the rich like blubbering obese Gore keeps using all the energy like it's infinite for him. But his "conscience is clear" because he just buys carbon credits that just helps his company.

  • The world's going to have a much more scary problem than the minuscule rise in temperature if an ETS like what the labor government in australia has proposed goes ahead. They are proposing taxing agricultural for there emissions. Now the problem with that is they are going to be taxing the natural cycle emissions from such things as cows farting. Now a cow can not produce anymore emissions than the carbon that was taken in through the growth of the grass that it eats.

  • All this in a country that has cut research money for agriculture, closed research stations and plant breading programs and imposed land clearing laws on freehold country that don't even allow the planting of improved grass that can produce more feed on less rain.

Now you must ask yourself does the government want farmers to produce food because without food they produce there aren't going to be any people left to tax.

  • "Now a cow can not produce anymore emissions than the carbon that was taken in through the growth of the grass that it eats."

Oh yes it can! By digesting the grass, the paunch of the cow produces methane, which is more than 20 times more "effective" as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxyde. The process of fermentation produces gas by means of microbes. This has nothing to do with the carbon taken in through the growth of the grass that it eats.

  • @ausfarmer89 The counter argument is that there is feed that produces less methane from their flatulence. The problem is, What is the increase on the cost of this amazing new "feed?" What is it made of? Is it really proper nutrition for the cows? What is the result long term? What happens when natural resources decrease but price of living keeps increasing for constantly longer living population?

How many adipose cells does Al Gore feed while his flatulates his methane gas?

  • It is a beautiful, elegant solution however it is very difficult to regulate this and to know how much supply of units to allocate to each emitter.

  • Notice since we have had a very cold year there not calling it global warming , its now called climate change . Its a scam a we won t put up with it .

  • @ozzycriss It actually is just climate change because the warming has always been mainly in the Northern Hemisphere. But the increase of its standard deviation pulls the overall mean up by what is now about .8 degrees C over the last 150 years increase.

We've been arguing it's climate change, not GLOBAL warming, for years. They finally caught up.

  • The problem is its a tradable item on production not consumption...Sure its good for the EU and makes everbody feel good about reducing global warming, but a reduction in Co2 production in the EU will lead to increased Co2 production somewhere else like china or india...it just transfers the challenge somewhere else... Co2 emissions should be traded on consumption of goods. It might work if we all buy european products and not cheap asian imports, whose county's don't have such a scheme.

  • This Carbon Trading Scheme it's an ' AIR TAX' I have no intentions of paying, I will take on my utility company if they try it on me!

  • An increase in energy costs as a result of emission trading doesn't fit the definition of the word tax.

  • Bullshit........it's tax in a new disguise.

It proves how much were being deceived.

  • Tax: A fee charged ("levied") by a government on a product, income, or activity... The purpose of taxation is to finance government expenditure.

Even if a government act (emissions trading legislation) results in higher energy costs from private companies, that extra money does not go to the government. Thus it is NOT a tax.

  • Increased energy costs is a totally VALID argument against emissions trading. But calling it a tax when it isn't invalidates the argument. it's a political ploy to scare people who don't want to pay more taxes (and aren't smart enough to know the difference between a government levied tax and an a market-based rise in prices).

  • A general rule of thumb when debating an issue... The moment you resort to using profanity, you give your opponent the moral high ground...

Also, the first person to get angry... loses.

  • agreed, companies will not take lower profits, they pass off the cost to the consumer.

  • @MRMILO57 joseph should see my electric bill. It says, and I quote, "TAX."

  • If such a scheme is enforced on businesss, it will be passed onto consumers, therefore it acts like a tax.

It would only work if the power company couldn't pass the cost onto the consumer.

    I don't see that happening.

  • I certainly understand your concerns but a similar program was used to curb sulfur-dioxide emissions in the '90s and it's generally considered to have been successful, both economically and environmentally.

I posted a video response to this particular video (which in itself is a response to some BS letter I got from my congressman) and I have a link to an MIT study in the description that talks about the SO2 program (part of the Clean Air Act Amendments in 1990).

btw, still not a tax. ;-)

  • Jo....I'll check out the video

In the end it all comes back to finding a balance and being considerate on all points of view.

  • Amen to that, brother! ;-)

  • @MRMILO57 From dictionary: TAX: 1) to assess or determine judicially the amount of, to levy a tax on, to enter on a list, charge, accuse, to make onerous and rigorous demands on. 2) a charge usu. money imposed by authority on persons or property for public persons, a sum levied on persons or property to defray expenses, a heavy demand. Nothing about government.

    Webster's Dictionary, 10th ed.

  • NotaBeetleFan....ETS is an 'AIR TAX'!

Basically a big con and charlartan sales scheme!

  • @MRMILO57 Payments in lieu of renewable resource is payed by retail electric supply directly to the State. see cap and trade bill HR 2454 go to Senate(dot) gov ~~click current legislation and find the current bill under the cap and trade. TAX oh oh, it's called "Payments" and "Penalties" just to be Politically correct now.

  • NotaBeetleFan ....its an 'AIR TAX'...simple!

  • USA Out of the UN...Let these stupid Euro's burn under the banner of Global Warming, Islam, and pathetic welfare states!

  • u r racist coward

  • I think it's a good idea.

  • Thank you EU for the competitive advantage and for cooling the planet one-hundredth of a degree!

  • Gerhard Mulder rocks!!!!

  • Wish people in the United States would wake up and see this coming. This is horrible I feel sorry for the poor people of the EU.

  • Time to move to Asia and speculate on co2 contracts.

Those idiots will kill the economy in EU but why not earn on that?

But yep this is a small step towards breath tax!

Well done euro-fascists, make the slaves pay!

    --------

    Be back in 2012

    /annu :P

  • To learn more about WORLDBANK plans = google search YouTube video :

"PROTEST-Indigenous Peoples "2nd MAY REVOLT" at the UN"

  • TOTAL FUCKING BOLLOCKS...when I exhale I emit carbon dioxide. Why not a breathing tax on all humans.

  • THIS IS TYRRANY!

  • Total BOLLOCKS, there is no global warming and never has been. THIS IS A SCAM. In this film they state CO2 is now a commodity to be sold on open markets as with any manufactured product. WHY have a legitimate business if you can call a life sustaining gas a pollutant and then sell it to mugs for 28 dollars or £14 a ton? Al Gore is a greedy bastard, he has made $850 million from this SCAM, he claims to be CARBON NEUTRAL by buying from Generation Investment Management, he OWNS the company.

  • That 'life sustaining gas' is also deadly in high concentrations. When levels get as high as they are forecast to, it becomes a pollutant.

C02 is not sold like a commodity, the commodity is a permit to emit CO2.

Emissions trading is the most effective market based mechanism to solve this global market failure.

  • So... we're selling the environment out?

  • This video is a good example of being ridiculously optimistic and not facing realities of the real marketplace and pricing.

  • The system will only generate more bureaucracy in the EU. For a system of this kind to work it must be global. Otherwise it will only generate unemployment in the EU.

  • As we move towards a trading market(chicago climate exchange) we still wait for formal government regulations on capping CO2 emissions.

  • only 20 Euro for a TON on CO2??? What the Hell????

Make it to 10,000 Euro at least!!! It's a TON! Keep that in mind!

Every year there are 7 billion tons of Carbon dioxide dumped into the atmosphere...you would really save the planet by making this price higher than it should be!

  • ETS is a failure theclimatereport DOT com

  • More Eoropean Union Commission rubbish. They still happily travel to Strasbourg every month which we pay for. Does that get off set? Like the tower of Babael The Eu will collapse in a blubbering heap. The sooner the better!

Peter Gizzi Gillingham Kent (now La Manche) UK

  • Sounds good to me. I'd like to move to Europe and leave this country that is just about broke from Repug policies.

  • Open Europe says the ETS is not working. Is this video a good example of EU Commission Propaganda? It looks likely...
