  • What size? 6 pounder? I want more info on the cannon. How old is it, is it a replica? I'd like to see the mold as well. Real cool, but totally lethal! Did it see action? All of the sudden I'm into cannons, never thought I would be but then I watched that british Sharpe series on YouTube - Sean Bean fighting Napoleon...

  • @notoriouslizw It has a 3 inch bore, firing about a 5.75 pound lead ball. It's only a few years old - it is not an original. I wouldn't really call it a true replica either - but it's based on a Civil War era Mountain Howitzer. We also have the steel to build about a 24 pounder, and when we build that I want to make it as close to replica as possible. Not yet sure what barrel and carriage we will model it after though.

  • death by cannon

There were no dryers in the War of 1812.
