  • I got 99 problems, but a water distiller ain't one

  • It's a really good setup. The guy who wrote in about aluminum is correct. Also, I'd imagine that it won't remove everything. That would be my concern. Before watching your video I watched one where someone built a solar distiller. It worked great to remove large impurities, but didn't remove red food coloring when he introduced that.

So, your method would work to purify stream water from dirt and muck but maybe not from chemical pollutants. Right?

  • Stop talking!

  • THAT`S BETTER THAN SPENDING OVER $300.00 ON EBAY FOR A NON ELECTRIC ONE.

    VERY NICE VID! ★:-:•‹(•¿-)›•:★.THANK.★.YØU.★

  • Just when I want to....I tell myself "don't engage the crazies." Ooohh, but I want to......aw hell, Shut Up!!!

  • stupid... you need to have the collection point away from the heat

  • Hah. Everyone is crying about him saying stop talking. God forbid you be raised in a house that actually is strict or harsh.

  • You started out sounding like a real anal-retentive douche. I could not follow whatever else you had to say. I feel sorry for your family.

  • Wow how stupid are these people? Have a domestic while filming, snap and yell at your son demanding him to "STOP TALKING", then actually upload the video without editing it out? No class.

  • What is the time/yeild factor on this? I.e. How long does it take to make a liter of distilled water?

  • STOP TALKING!! lmfao poor sad little man. And as most men trying to over compensate for something, he's over complicating the issue. Just make a still out of a stainless stock pot. Since you won't be making moonshine in it, just drill a hole in the lid, buy a length of copper pipe, solder your pipe into you hole and bend the pipe to your collection bucket. If you're scared of soldering then just use flour paste as glue. Best part is you won't burn the fuck out of your fingers like this guy will.

  • This is a great idea, try it with 1kg of diced up potatoes in the water, and you have some good cheap potato vodka

  • HAHAHAHA "Ur boiling urine"?.. -STOP TALKING!!! LMFAO!!! This guy seems like a very angry sad sad little man =-[

  • very clever. you just saved me about $180.

  • nice work.....can you possibly show how you attached the pans together......?

  • all of you!!! stop talking!!!!! im talking about water!!!!

  • I think theres a slight flaw in this system, the pan at the top gets to hot, the water needs to condense, you need a pipe to drain the water into another pan off to the side, otherwise great idea.

  • nice

  • I did this with a kettle, a mug, and a plastic tray. ^^ Not as effective, but it works.

  • thank you

  • pretty cool

  • Really cool idea. Big problem with Aluminum though. Pure distilled water is actually an effective solvent - because it is pure it then can only "pull" things into it, which means the ALUMINUM! Use a less toxic metal and you've got a brilliant idea.

I also would have edited out the "Stop Talking!" It does not put you in a good light, makes you seem like a real immature jerk to your woman there. I'm sure that wasn't intended. That alone distracted me from opening up to your presentation.

  • @jittlejot Thanks for taking the time to comment. I think given a life or death situation, I'd go with aluminum or whatever I had to get water that wouldn't cause great discomfort or death. Hopefully, I won't have to test. As for editing, it's family dynamics for real.Thought about editing but had no idea how to do it. Our house is loud & noisy. Out of context plays to the harshness perceived but I understand your view. Besides, the "your're boiling urine" comment seems to attract comments.

  • @jittlejot true about aluminum, but its very difficult to walk away inspired when you type like Simon Cowell. This man is helping people with his video, thanks MegaDiddly : )

  • hahaha epic stop talking

  • Best homemade system I've see so far. Others use plastic for the steam which is crazy (bad toxins) but your system looks very good.

  • LOL "STOP TALKING!"

  • Your boiling urine?

  • @ 1 second the kid in the background says, "You're boiling urine?" To which the father replies, "Stop talking!" LMAO!

  • @wcoy79 omg i laft me ass off

  • I like it but, lets see it work.

  • @hlbpr Maybe we should do a follow-up video………hmm The process does work but it does produce small amounts of water. In case that's our only option, we know what to do.

  • @MegaDiddly So do you think this isn't a very efficient method? Are any of your parts aluminum or is it all stainless? cause i couldnt find a pound cake pan in stainless ANYWHERE.

  • @MegaDiddly Please do a follow up showing how long it takes and its efficiency. If i can get your system to work efficiently I'm gonna build an all stainless version and patent it. Ill give you a lil of the money though, jk. If that top bowl could somehow hold icewater on the very top it might be ALOT more efficient in re-condensing the water. just an idea and thanks you for sharing yours.

  • @andrewbentley83 this is a slow process and if over a fire I imagine it consumes lots of energy/fuel. Anyway, we've moved on to experimenting with solar power having stored lots of water using rain barrells and 2 liter pop bottles BTW, glass liquer bottles don't last winters (even fairly mild southern ones). That's a different video for another day.

  • @andrewbentley83

You will NOT get a patent approval granted if you use this method.

Someone has most likely beat you to it, and since this guy has already made a video of this he beat you to it too.

Heck, I have several ideas for self energizing power sources, and I did searches for my ideas and guess what?

Someone already came up with the ideas!

And, my ideas are deemed illegal by the government and electrical grid industries, because they want everyone on their grids.

    Can you believe that?

  • @MegaDiddly u need to give that steam somewhere to go that is cooler to condense.because your collection point is above the boiling chamber.you wont get good condensation and most of the water will escape as steam.plus more comtaminants from the origional water will be in the final water due to these reasons.check out we-beat-prices dohht com.i bought a all stainless steel distiller 4 hr model and they explain the reasons why and how the avg distiller is made(.pressure cooker+stainless tubing)

  • very, very nice.

use some big hose clamps to hold your handles on.

I like what you did. thanks.

  • Umm, what happened editing? Or did you guys just leave that first part in for entertainment?

  • Son: "...you're boiling, you rinse-"

    Dad: "STOP TALKING!"

Mum: "Okay, now's a good time..."

    LOL

Silliness aside, great little invention. Gonna try something like that myself.

  • @28SNaKeS Son: "...you're boiling urine?"

  • @Tertioptus LOL! Even funnier than what I thought :D

    Thanks for clearing it up!

  • Probably you also need to seal the lower most pot so that steam may not escape from sideways otherwise you will get the distilled water but lot of energy will be wasted.

    Very nice.

  • poor kid ;( why not just put a bowl in the pot flip the lid fill with ice just like my homemade distiller :D

  • your a nut. don't boil water boil urine 0:00

  • wow that awesome, great job

  • your boiling urine?

    STOP TALKING!

no one care about the way you boil urine. and dont yell at the kid because he is right.

  • @youtube washed hes not talking about urine retard, the kid says it but he is talking about undrinkable water, nowhere does he say urine.. obviously that education would come in handy.... Can you listen and understand english?....

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @robdmhaze he might not have said urine but that's what we heard. at least its a better video than yours. that education didn't teach you how to be creative. go suck a manchineel. you must have something better to do than follow me around.

and for the record i do like this guys set-up. I kind of hope its not urine since we are not at that stage of survival yet.

  • @youtube washed thanks little guy your comments are awesome. You really need to get that education... Oh and this is better then my videos, lol thx little guy you stung me deep to my core. Just happened on this and your lame comment happened to be here too. I guess we looked up similar things, but your to dumb to notice... have a nice day little guy.

  • Water distillation has 3 steps this is only 2 is it just as efficient?

  • Very innovative. Thanks. I need to improvise something myself to have a distilled water source for making colloidal silver in emergencies when off-the-shelf distilled isn't available. I will certainly be looking suspiciously at all pots and pans from here on out.

  • you should all watch the documentaries The Beautiful Truth, Food Inc, Food Matters, and The Gerson Miracle... They are all amazing! The Beautiful Truth and The Gerson Miracle mainly center around the benifits of raw food diets and how it gives your body the nutrients to heal itself of even the most deadly diseases and cancers (documented proof) since the processed foods we eat with all the chemicals leave us dificient of what we really need and toxic with things we dont.

  • @nickolusthegreek you hit the nail on the head. stock up on your garden seeds, the heirloom ones.

  • @nickolusthegreek .........I do not understand how to use raw foods to treat that kind of disease can you explain

it little more and how to do that plz.........thanks........

  • @nickolusthegreek THE CURE FORE CANCER IS ENDANGER OF BEING LOST FOREVER!! Please research The GERSON THERAPY in depth and help spread the word. Charlotte Gerson is getting old and needs us to carry out her fathers work. Please help and tell anyone you know that has cancer to watch "The Gerson Miracle" and continue your research from there!!! ---- i post this everywhere but i see you guys are on top of it. I still love meat but its true there really is a cure for cancer

  • @andrewbentley83 the cure for cancer is easier than most know or are willing to admit. Prevention!!! Cancer cells thrive in acidic and alkaline environments. Balance your bodies PH level, that's all. It is that simple. 99% of the world are either uninformed about this fact or unwilling to put the effort into ensuring their body is not a breeding ground for cancer cells. Check your PH responsibly for a week. I'm willing to bet most will discover their PH is highly acidic from bad a diet.

  • I commend this person for doing the video. It is important that we begin to rely more on each other than the multimillion dollar corporations. Fluoride is a poison to the human body and we need everyone's help to get it out of our public water supply. Please sign online petitions for your state to get it out of your public water supply. Do not trust the government or million dollar corporations with your life.

  • @mindround LOL everything is a poison... least this poison does something helpful

  • @DampielX flouride's ONLY known benefit is as a topical application (not injested) to your teeth to prevent cavities. but ya your right You can even overdose from water, a kid did it when I went to Chico state in cali and it got national attention. It was a frat thing and they didn't let him pee that's why. I'm surprised someone hasn't suffocated themselves with massive amounts of weed smoke just to prove you can kill yourself with it.

  • @andrewbentley83 i cant believe you believe e that bull about fluoride being good for your teeth.its a LIE(yes lie)fluoride causes floriosis which ruins the enamel of teeth.plus the states with the most fluoride have the most cavities.why did hitler use it in the death camps?its a poison that affect the nervoussystem.used in rat poison.a waste produce of aluminum.dont quote pro floride studies, r disproven as fraudulent.watch dr russel blaylock about floride onyou tube.read fluoride deception.

  • @mindround the eu just ruled that fluoridated water is a medicine (wtf stupid twats, ITS POISON) and as such, cannot be added to the water supply as it is classed as mass medication, and they're taking it out! its now illegal to prepare food with fluoridated water and then sell it to people, its classed as medication, so all cafes etc in the UK are acting illegally until its removed. dunno about usa though

  • i think somebody needs to put whisky on his cornflakes or take a chill pill. its amazing what the camera picks up, so dont be sooo rude!

  • Hey... Anyone got an idea how long this takes to work? is it liturally an hour? or all day? any idea? Any one done it?

    Thanks

  • the only interesting part of this video is when you shout stop talking, make me go wth

  • Boiling the water is going to increase the concentration of fluorine (which I would like to add, is what goes in rat poison)...the point of distillation is to condense the liquid into a different container thereby separating the compounds in the liquid..

  • looks like that robot from Starwars, I wonder it can distill water too.

    LOL!.. hahaha :/

  • @TheShotokanWarrior

YES , you can do anything you wish just use the force.

  • Fantastic! Really great "contraption"! and I even have those same pots and bowls.

Thank you so very much for this one.

  • nice, great idea with that pound cake. im going to try that.

  • I don't get it. This doesn't remove the fluoride does it?

  • @spirittoo the people that only drink distilled water have alot of teeth problems as fluoride is like calcium it strengthens the bones, teeth, nails and hair... thats why aussies are so fit n healthy, and we have been fighting the uppity idiots to keep it in our tap water ..... plus who in their right mind would pay more for a bottle of water than the same size bottle filled with fuel....

  • @jusfuknwidya

Flouride is poison. Period! I don't buy distilled water, but fresh well water. It is foolish to pay extra for water that they are now starting to put flouride in. It's poison, look it up, it's very, very bad for you.

  • @jusfuknwidya I've seen a report that people that don't have fluoride in the water don't have problems with their teeth ... also there are toxins in fluoride that harm the body.

  • @spirittoo yes it does because fluoride doesn't evaporate, with a distiller you get pure clean water free of chemicals. it's the best way to purify water.

  • @sh4p3shifter if fluoride doesn't evaporate I don't understand how the distiller can get rid of it.

  • @spirittoo Because the distiller collects the pure evaporated water and leaves the fluoride behind. Get it?

  • @sh4p3shifter I see ... thanks for the info

  • STOP TALKING lmao
